I have applied as a Trainee with the hope to become a mentor later on. Just like to say that I'm really impressed by the initiative. I don't think people realise that it takes a lot of work to set something up like this and you are doing it in your own time and with your own resources. Best of Luck!

    +1.

These guys at Epoch look like they know what they're doing and the project looks very promising. After talking to Yukari for a little bit I was very impressed with the initiative that The Epoch Project is taking in HoN. Good luck to you guys and I'd definitely recommend this to any players looking for a good HoN-home/learning environment.

I just joined and have the clantag in-game, but I'm still [LN] here on the forums. Anyone know why, or how to fix it?
Look out, I've got too much soul for the world
It's breaking my heart in two
I've got too much soul for you
    I don't like it but it's true

The forums are slow to update clan tags :/

    Great initiative guys. : )
A HoN-match is not a funeral but both can be very sad events

I applied on the forum after talking to methos. It's funny to see a thread where many of the posters are people I've actually played with.
EDIT: lol just checked i got moved yay

Not to be judgemental, but from what I've heard from people who are actually unbiased and honest, Epoch is just LN reformed with a ton of trolls in it. I don't see why it'd be a fitting clan and/or home or a proper learning environment with a ton of people that would bark at you for messing up and troll you. @_@

I disagree. Epoch seems to take trolling pretty seriously and from what I understand, people who troll will be removed from the clan and dealt with with the RAP system.

There is no such thing as unbiased people, it's a human limitation. That said, the post made me chuckle.

This is absolutely untrue, and is actually the reason we reformed the clan from LN. Elimination of trolling was the purpose behind forming E, so I don't know which "unbaised and honest" sources you're getting this from, but we're being 100% honest and open about this clan.

Yes, we are a LN reformation. No, we do not have trolls. I would like to refer you to the below:

In order to ensure quality, this clan will adopt a zero tolerance policy for smurfing and trolling. Any player who joins the clan intending to disrupt it's operations will be punished under the Report a Player system, courtesy of [S2]Feanux. While we understand you may sometimes get frustrated, we will be maintaining records of any disruptive behavior within the clan. Those who prove themselves to be unable to maintain a positive behavior will be removed from the clan, or in extreme cases, receive in-game disciplinary action.
As you can see, we are taking this matter extremely seriously. I encourage your sources to speak to me and explain why they perceive Epoch as a troll clan, so that I can take care of the problem they've clearly experienced first-hand.

So far, we have kicked all the trolls that plagued LN ih's(mostly other clans who liked to IH with LN) and from what I see, there isn't that much barking at people during our learnhouses.

Quick question, if you would like to join as a trainee and a mentor how would you accomplish that? i mean for example i can play a terrific support but i can't carry that well and i would like to learn. So what i am asking is can i join as a support mentor but as a carry trainee?

Unfortunately, that is not possible at this time. You can either apply as a trainee or mentor, but you are always allowed to participate in workshops hosted by other mentors

I really like the idea of your clan, an improvement from LN probably, and I'm thinking about applying as a trainee myself.

Though I got some more questions:
    1. Do you focus on teaching roles, or more on playing certain heroes?
    2. Is a headset / use of the voip system required, or does communicating via the chat suffice?
    3. As a trainee, should you be online at certain times or is it possible to just be online whenever you have time without having appointments or something similar? (Ofcourse I do see the need to arrange to meet a mentor at certain times, though I often play HoN more spontaneously...)

I'd like to add that this aforementioned combination of being trainee and mentor at the same time is a good idea, and I initially wanted to ask of something similar as well. Someone who needs some advanced training and help might be able to teach some basics to new players; this would support "better" mentors, in addition the trainee could kind of "give something back" to the community.

We teach whatever you want to learn. Learnhouse/Grouphouse more or less lets you play what you want, and advice will be supplied afterwards. You can also pursue a distinct direction by participating in mentor workshops

We highly prefer our trainees to have a working microphone/headset, but it's not required.

We do organize things and schedule ahead of time, but you are more than welcome to play in normal inhouses, which happens all day, excluding late late night
