I'm fairly sure not every employee of s2 is concentrated on solving issues such as this one. They would have teams dedicated to this kind of stuff wouldn't you think? So they can relay a message, and someone can come and post it?
It isn't a waste of time, some people only have a limited amount of time to play this game and this game revolves immensely around time. So knowing that there may not be a chance to play today can save them time in waiting and they can go off and do other things, or not be late for work etc.
They cannot give an ETA on this kind of stuff, they will just have to sit and wait untill it's over.
Seriously though no one gives 2 flyin ****s if you're moving to "Dota 2" when ever that even comes out, just run along and cry in a corner, You're on HoN forums.
Ok, quite clearly you aren't getting the gist of what I'm saying. HoN isn't a game where you can just quit at any time. You have to dedicate yourself to a match. So if we are waiting for hours on end it could be a problem for us, the consumer. So if the downtime is causing consumer problems shouldn't s2 tackle the problems head on and resolve them. Constant updates would solve so many issues and shut up all the people whining. You obviously haven't read my previous posts but I wasn't saying "OMG GIVE US AN ETA RAH RAH RAH", I was simply stating that an update on the matter saying something like "we are working on it, no eta, bear with us as this may take some time" and then kids are happy for a while, 10-20 minutes later a few more people cry, give another update and if you have any further information to provide to the problem add that in as well, you keep the consumers happy and save hassle. It takes a total of 10 seconds to make a post, it's not a big ask.
Who on earth would DDOS a game for no reason? Or if there is a reason what is it?
to lure customers to another game? hm...
