So how many buffs does it take till we can stop making fun of those who get EP?

A while ago it got changed from 30% increased damage to 20%, now it's down to 15%. I'd certainly pick it up on chronos, but otherwise I still don't like taking extra damage. Strength heroes have more hp, sure, but I'd still rather get insanitarious on them. Is elder parasite more usable now, or still laughable?

It's just some "forum fashion", elder parasite is sometimes a very viable choice on a lot of heroes. If you fail to realize this, I feel sorry for you. Sucks to be stuck in the same gameplay for eternity :/

Compare it to a hero you know and you get a vague idea on how to deal with it. It does not matter what the actual hero is like - at least one of his features will resemble something from somewhere else (be it from DotA, HoN, LoL, Diablo, WoW, anything) and people will try to identify the unknown with the familiar.

    This

Some times shrunken head is useless in a game, some times it isnt. Just because it happends less doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

You shuoldn't get the exact same items every game you should judge by the opposing team, I.E Get magic armor and bracers over trying to farm a helm of the black legion vs 2-3 intel heavy team.

Get a hellflower instead of a storm spirit vs a mage bane. It just requires common sense and knowledge of the fights and the repricussions that will occur.

I remember in dota when every fight started with everyone setting off their masks of madness. It was music to my ears.

But then again...anyone i see with EP i automatically assume is a noob(unless chronos or hammer.) Now that u mention that they further buffed EP, i am interested in it once again.

I think it's completely viable on some tanky heroes who won't get focused in teamfights anyhow. Like a Kraken with hotbl, demonic and maybe ffp/behe; people aren't gonna be trying to kill him asap and he can certainly use the attack speed for splash.

I bet it'll be viable on quite a few more heroes with that buff. Kraken, as mentioned before, as well as Tree obviously. Some ranged semi-carries like Valk might even be able to pick it up now, since the movespeed offers a bit of survivability that might be able to counteract 15% damage increase where it didn't counteract 20 or 30%.
    Pharaoh
    - Fixed an extremely rare bug with Ophelia/Nymphora teleporting Pharaoh to fountain and Pharaoh teleporting all the enemy heroes to his fountain

Even on tanky heroes, why would you bother getting it? Why not spend the 2k gold on something useful? Like on Kraken, why not get a portal key with that gold?

If you wanted Kraken to initiate, you would get PK before the EP. Not like Kraken has any trouble farming a billion items with his free Runed Axecleaver.

Still very situational. What if you have behe, and you are ready to charge in and ulti. You can charge in + ulti after behe initiation easily, you don't always need a pk. Same with elder parasite.
Open your eyes and see the opportunities. Make use of the items available in the game.

    Midwars don't count.

Yes EP is bad, but I had mid as keeper that I decimated them, I was like 5 levels above them, so I went instratous + EP and killed everyoen in 2-3 auto attacks lol

How good is it on Swift? Activate during ulti and pewpew.
If good at all, when would you get it? If you rush it, or just get it after a Runed Cleaver, then your survivability is quite bad. Having Lifesteal on ulti does help somewhat, but idk.

Hmm, I've always wanted to try :ChargedHammer::ElderParasite::StaffOfTheMaster: on SB.

^That build would fall flat on its face TBH.

My current theory is EP is viable if you have a shrunken and they arent rolling around in superior disables. 15% additional damage is like 10% less EHP and when your magic/disable immune you should be able to heal back with the lifesteal.

Maybe if said hero had :ShrunkenHead: and an extra 300hp than the enemy team's highest level hero I could see it being useful. Kinda.

Barbed Armor, Hellflower and Kuldra's Sheepstick would like to chat with all you Elder Parasites.

Then deadwood pebbles pyro gauntlet fayde ports in and kills your squishy ass self before teamfights even start.

But then again, if you actually got that farmed with that buildup, chances are the enemy team are not good enough to focus you, so you can lawlstomp with any other build as well.
