As everyone has said, its just a fun show. The characters are simple, diverse, yet fun, and develop and show off their other sides as the show progresses. Lauren Faust has made some really good shows. I used to watch the Powerpuff Girls when I was little simply because it was funny, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends was really well done, although I didn't like the characters. Sadly, she won't be supervising the creation of the second season as much, as shes off to work on a new show, but hopefully it is just as good or better than the first.

Thankfully, if you look at the writer behind each episode, Lauren only wrote 1 and 2. She's leaving the same people behind, and she'll still be around to check on things so I'm confident that season 2 will be great as long as they stick to their guns. So I've got all the sounds done except for Pinkie Pie saying "I win again!" for nemesis. Stupid converting stuff.
I'll mess around with it and make sure I like the sounds I have in place, and once I'm satisfied I'll attempt to make a honmod out of it (or worst case scenario, put up the sound files so you can all do it the long and stupid way like me).
At first I was a little reluctant to watch it, but I heard a lot of good things. Then when I saw this topic, I realized that people who play hon like it, and people who play hon hate almost everything, so I watched it and it was amazing.

I don't know how .hommods work, whenever I've made mods I just put them in a .s2z because the way they work is incredibly simple. HoN loads its resources from files called resourcesxxx.s2z. If you have a file called resources1.s2z, anything in that will load over the same file in resources0.s2z. Changing the announcer is really simple, because all you have to do is replace all the .ogg files in the announcer folder.

I really like most of the sounds you used, the only ones that really feel out of place are
Bloodlust: "My life is ruined!"
Hattrick: "Oh nononono!"
Quad Kill: "This is bad"
Annihilation: "Everypony for herself!"
These feel really out of place when you are the one getting the kills
I'd suggest you use my life is ruined for a defeat btw.
What in tarnation, I couldn't find a single line from AJ, this really rustled my jimmy's! So y'all better go right ahead and add some lines like "how do you like dem apples" (ep 4) or a good ol' "yeehaw" (ep 4) okay sugarcube?
Still really dig the mod, great job so far!

I kinda rushed through the hattrick->quad. Quad kill was supposed to be Celestia saying "run" but I could never get a loud enough recording so I made some BS replacements.
I was going to use "How do you like THEM apples?" as humiliation... I just realized I didn't! Adding that now! I tried to include as many ponies as possible, but I think you're right in saying that I should probably replace some of the combo kills with a bit more AJ. And no worries, it's nothing out of hate. I loves me some AJ.
I'll look into replacing some of them, but I kinda like "EVERYPONY FOR HERSEEEELF!" (Should that instead be a kill streak? Bloodbath?)

How about bloodbath "Ohmygoshohmygosh" -> EVERYPONY FOR HERSELF and use the omgomgomg for a annihilation (makes sense, its my response if I'd ever get a annihilation)

My only fear is that omgomgomgomgomg might not be shout-y enough for an annihilation, if you know what I mean.
Giving it a shot, still, because I do think that EVERYPONY FOR HERSELF fits pretty well with bloodbath and Fluttershy's crazy laugh with immortal.
