Hey, after the new patch I can't use the mod manager.. It says it have noticed a new patch bla bla bla and if i want to reinstall the mods for the new patch. I click yes and it says i couldnt find one of the mods. And then i can't press anything on the mod manager. this also happens if i press no to the reinstall of mods. Cant press "fil" and "add mods" etc.
Im on a mac btw, and it worked before the patch.
Well, HoN patches have absolutly nothing to do with the ModManager. At least in theory, or in the operation of searching for the HoN version the ModManager is crashing somehow.
Try redownloading the ModManager. If it doesn't work, try redownloading Mono. Or download the Java ModManager.
I also am getting the cannot find file #file# error
My log file is here http://pastebin.com/ZECWcU3s
resources file is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Heroes of Newerth\game
Mods in there too
When i DL'd months ago, it cam with mods already in place... with the new computer im running, im trying to get mods to not only work, but to update. Im running windows 7 as administrator, but it doesnt seem to want to work for me. Any suggestions? Maybe somebody could answer how I got the origional one I downloaded with the mods in place?
The very first few releases contained three example mods as reference, but those weren't really "in place", you still had to place those in <hon install>\game\mods.
The program will certainly require administrator or other special privileges to edit files in the "program files" folder (which is where you usually install your hon into). I can't really help you much past that, but I'll try to make this process easier in the next version (coming "soon").
I just installed hon and hon mod manager on my new laptop. put the two mods xshop and minui in it. Ive used these too mods on all my pc's/laptops without problems. now when i enable and apply them and start a hon game. i have no interface at all. the last time that happened i had to get a newer version of honmodman but mine is the newest one from the top of the thread.. whatever I do.. I can't fix it.
Having no interface at all usually means the xml syntax of the game's interface files was broken. This is the mods' fault (not a known problem of the mod manager itself).
Make sure the mod files you are using are up to date. If it still happens, try activating only one of the two mods, and tell the creator of whichever mod it happens with so they may fix it.
I did download Mod manager but when i try to get correct path it says error and invalid path, i dont know what is right path but i only īcan find 1 hon file and it isnt correct :s help me pls
Hey,
Yesterday it was working fine for me, but i have to redownload install it every time i restart my pc due to deepfreeze.
But when i download it now it say that when i try and open it,
:The compressed(zipper) folder is invalid or corrupted ;
And it wont open then any clue whats wrong?
There was a problem with the webspace I hosted it on. Fixed it now; thanks for reporting!
You need to enter the path to the installation folder, not the "hon file". On Windows this is something like "C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Heroes of Newerth" by default.
Hey i tried almost everything, but i cant drag tthe "mods" into Modman and they dont come automaticly, when they even are in the folder "mods". i dont know how to get them into Modman, to activate. need some series help.
please help! it says that windows needs to know what program you want to open it, when i try to put a mod or something
Can anybody help me get this working? It's giving me an error "The file #file# was not found, so the mods couldn't be applied". I'm running 64 bit Windows and my mod folder is located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Heroes of Newerth\game\mods".
