Sorry for barely being around the forums at the moment, but university is keeping me very busy.
I plan on releasing one more version with some simple path correction heuristics (since this seems to be a very common problem), a simple auto-update mechanism for mods, a simple option to "unapply" all mods, an option to open the mods folder, better treatment of multiple mod versions (currently it's just using the one with the lexicographically smaller file name), better mac support and maybe some more stuff I wanted to add but forgot here.
Once I'm done with that I'll clean up the mess of a source code, open source it and probably leave it at that.
ETA unknown; I really can't predict when I'll be finding time.
i know this is a long shot but is anyone out there willing to develop a program like this for mac TT.TT. and plz dont yell at me im just asking as nicely as possible >.<
when source comes out ill get to mac for ya (hopefully) worth a shot![]()

someone correct what i did wrong. i have windows vista and i downloaded 2 .honmod files. i ran the mod manager, and the path directory is c/programfiles/heroes of newerth. i opened that directory myself, went to game then mods and moved the 2 .honmod files there. then i exit that, went to the mod manager again, clicked appy mods, i get a success, so i close it, and i run HoN and nothing is different. i got the BardUI and Picklefishstats .honmod files. anyone know my problem? i even re-launched heroes like...521421421 times xD
Look for resources999.s2z in the game folder. If it's not there, it's because you don't have writing permissions. Make sure UAC is turned off too.
This program *should* be working on Mac as long as your are using Mono; check out this thread to see how some people managed. Please report any problems you encounter, and I'll try to address them.
A native version not requiring Mono may be developed, but not by me; and it'll probably best be written from scratch, since the source code is making use of .NET (Mono) specific features.

"Could not detect Heroes of Newerth version. Version checks have been disabled."
Windows 7 x64
"Could not detect Heroes of Newerth version. Version checks have been disabled." has two possible causes:
- You set the HoN install path wrong, and it thus couldn't find the game files (solved by setting the correct path; note that you should NOT point it to the game or the game\mods folder, but the main folder instead (like "C:\Program Files\Heroes Of Newerth"))
- The HoN install path is set correctly, but the program is missing read privileges on the files (solved by running as admin, turning off UAC or adding read privileges)
- You have HoN running, which locks access to its game files (solved by closing HoN first)
This is the error that shows up when you haven't got the .Net framework installed on Windows XP. (solved by installing it, e.g. from the links in the first post)
