    QCam - Camera Position Save and Recall

    I was recently annoyed by the lack of binds for camera position saving and recalling, so today I made a mod for it.

    There are 10 hotkeys for Save and Recall positions in the regular Controls menu.

    Positions are saved by hovering your mouse over the minimap and pressing a save bind. You can then instantly recall by pressing a corresponding recall bind.

    This is extremely useful for checking rune spawns quickly when they spawn, ward spots, shop etc. Use your imagination!

    The mod is implemented through calls to GetMouseX/GetMouseY and GetMinimapDrawX/GetMinimapDrawY as well as the console command MinimapLeftClick.

    I'm new to HoN modding (started today) and I must say it was quite a horrible experience, but I encourage you to place your feedback regarding the implementation of it, as I'm sure there are some things that could be improved. I couldn't find a way to get the value of a variable by concatenating strings to get its name for example, which made me use 9 unnecessary triggers.

    Thanks to RPG Keys and several Bang! mods for giving me somewhere to start learning.

    This mod is incompatible with MiniUI. Any idea if there's a fix? I'd really like to use this, it's a great mod.

    I updated the mod and it seems to work properly with MiniUI now.

    Is there anyway you could add some predefined binds? e.g. hotkeys for the fountain, each lane and the rune spots? Or maybe just a way to recall some previously defined positions?

    It's a bit more work to set the camera positions at the start every time. Plus, I never get the camera in the exact position I want using the minimap, I'm always just a little bit out of position.

    If not already implemented, could you make your previously saved positions carry over to the next game(s)?

    Thanks for the suggestions!

    Updated the mod, camera positions now persist even when restarting HoN. You should now be able to place your positions properly in a practice game for example, without needing to set new ones until you reinstall!

    This mod doesn't seem to be working now, when I try to recall a position the position is just completely dark, and not the position you saved, wanted to use this to quickly check rune spawns or how other lanes are doing, and if this could be fixed it would be helpful.

    I've found the position doesn't save correctly if your screen is right on top of the runes. You have to go off the side. Just keep saving and trying it 'till it sticks.

    only thing that worked for me =/
    fun things and whatnot.

    I tried it and tried saving everywhere but can't seem to make it work not just at rune but at random places on the map, no success, just comes up a completely black area and can't see anything, if someone could do a proper fix for this it seems like it would be a really useful mod for a lot of people.

    are you sure you're putting the pointer over the minimap and hitting your save button? If you put it over the area on the regular window it will do this.

    I found out why, I swapped minimap sides and i have to set it with the minimap on the left.
