Hello, I just got owned rather badly(me being mid arachna) not really individually but by the team play of the other team.
its the last game i played, Gameid: 39109679.
They ganked me mid from time to time and maybe you can give me some tips what i could have done better.
As far as i know i should have placed a ward somewhere uphill after they ganked me the first time(as far as i remember it was tempest that came mid).
But still im kinda unsure how to properly play against an gank intensive team, of course more wards would help but maybe something in the way i played as well.
Thanks for any hints![]()
Ok. So if you leave a game, you are sent an AIDS needle. Additionally, you get +1 disconnect AND are forced to play as Kongor next game. You can't leave his lair, except when a rune spawns. You must run directly to the rune (still as Kongor) and guard it. If you do not do this, then HoN immediately shuts down and formats your hard drive and injects you with the AIDS needle.
Unfortunately, I can't be bothered to actually watch the game, but I can give you some general tips against gank-heavy teams.
Map Awareness
This is key, you have to have one eye on the map at all times (figuratively speaking). Your teammates must be shouting miss calls and if they're not then you have to make an even bigger effort to check your map. Even if a few heroes disappear for a few seconds, be ready to drop back since they could have just teleported to the lane.
Wards
You already guessed it, but yeah, if you don't have wards up at key positions (river, jungle etc) then you're much more likely to get ganked. If nobody else is buying them and you have money to spare, get them yourself. They'll benefit the entire team.
Counter-Gank
You can't just sit back on the offensive for the entire game. Get a bit of farm in and organise a gank on someone unsuspecting. If none of them are alone then its a good chance they're 4-5 man ganking, maybe with someone in the jungle. That means two of your lanes can stay farming whilst the suspected gank lane can play defensively and maybe teleport to a farming lane.
Sorry I couldn't be more help, and I've only just returned from a long break so some of the information could be rusty. Ultimately, your entire team needs to be good to deal with ganks, since they obviously have strong teamwork on their side. You can never solo the game (unless you're a hard carry avoiding all ganks and getting all the farm :P). Hope I helped and good luck.
thanks alot guy, guess next time ill get an ward immediatly after i notice they are ganking alot(i fell twice for the same gank)

you were playing way too passive against flux, you got outharassed by a 400/450 range hero which should never happen, i would've gone for steamboots since ghost didn't make much sense in that match(you would die in few hits when stunned), you didn't move from the lane for the first 10 mins or so which made you very predictable and easy to gank for them
these are just minor observations since i wasn't watching your every move
Thank you very much
Looks like i should be variable with my boots choice on arachna.

Mid ganks on Arach are pretty much her biggest weakness, since she's weak, slow, and without a real escape mechanism.
There are ward spots that can protect a mid hero from ganks. Try looking at some comp games. It's especially easy on Hellbourne side, where you can place a ward that sees behind the patch of trees gankers use and sees the rune too.
