I dont know if this issure was in a thread before but some people maybe does remember the old dota announcer who was not so bad either. I really liked him and would really like to have him in HoN too. The problem is maybe the copyright of icefrog but i think s2 could get a easy deal with him in this way. I dont no if the community see this in the same way as i do but i hope so(i mean the ultrakill was so epic that i only started to play rts games cuz of it).

Copyright issues. Though if we could make our own version would be nice too.
Well, I know that announcer was from Quake and Unreal Tournament (where I've most seen it btw)
I dont think there will be any copyrights issues on this matter, since that announcer has been ripped away by lots of games (like counter strike, CoD Mods, Dota, etc)
The standard HoN Announcer is pretty much a copy of it, but only a little more original
Also, I don't like that announcer, for it turns out to look like a Mod, rather then game original feature, savy?

how can be then Quake announcer used in DOTA? because DOTA is not commercial project?
cause DotA is part of Warcraft 3,and in original WC you dont have Quake annoucer...
