I saw now several times that people survived engineer ultimate by shooting it with lifeleech and healing so much from it, that they survive.
Is this intended?

i dont think so, you should not gain lifesteal from gadgets
Just tested it... you can lifeleech from engineer ultimate!
Easy to test:
Arachna + Hungry Spirit + 6 Sworf of the High + Engi Ulti = healing
