That's because Dota 2 has bots. They'll only consider adding custom maps after Dota 2 gets them (and it will certainly happen)

The petition started last month was anything but successful, and not enough people requested maps and mods for the anniversary. So yes, we're still in "near future" - no maps, no decent map maker, no multiplayer and no mods for anyone.

That's because Dota 2 has bots. They'll only consider adding custom maps after Dota 2 gets them (and it will certainly happen)

I hear the same thing happened when Dota 2 announced their all hero's free to play stuff, should we make our last stand petition from 0-6 months after Dota 2 has fully implemented custom maps, guessing by their VERY frecuent trend of only applying real changes to the game when being forced by the competition, this would be our best and last chance. :/.
