Mana Potion
Item Name: Mana Potion
Cost: 50
Category: Supplies
Purchased From: Base
Components: None
Used In: None
Brief Summary: A Mana Potion can be used on an ally unit to restore Mana over time. These are more powerful early game in the laning phase and on certain jungling heroes. Be sure not to take damage while using a Mana Potion, or it will be debuffed, and the remaining duration will be wasted. These restore 3.33 Mana per second, or 100 in total over the 30 second duration.
Recommended For: Certain heroes that use a lot of Mana early game, such as Vindicator or Myrmidon
Pros: Gives you the Mana to cast more spells early in the game
Cons: Opportunity cost; you're passing up other items (minor totems, etc) if you get these (which is true for any item, but is more dire early game)

Health Potion
Item Name: Health Potion
Cost: 100
Category: Supplies
Purchased From: Base
Components: None
Used In: None
Brief Summary: Heals for 400 Health over 10 seconds (40 health per second). Be careful not to be attacked while using a Health Potion, or it might be knocked off.
Recommended For: Any hero that will be laning early game. Works on jungling heroes too, but Runes of the Blight are probably more effective. Also can be effective middle game.
Pros: Burst health regeneration. Excellent for surviving in tight situations. Use a Health Potion while juking to surprise your enemy or survive. Also, use a Health Potion if you're extremely low HP and a Rune of the Blight won't help in time.
Cons: Runes of the Blight generally provide more staying power, and you don't have to worry about Runes of the Blight getting dispelled on damage.

Runes of the Blight
Item Name: Runes of the Blight
Cost: 90 (for 3)
Category: Supplies
Purchased From: Base
Components: None
Used In: None
Brief Summary: Heals the user for 145 HP over 16 seconds and destroys the target tree.
Recommended For: All heroes, early game. EXCEPT certain junglers that won't take any damage, such as Tempest.
Pros: Provides excellent lane staying power. Doesn't get knocked off when you receive damage. Cuts down the target tree, which allows for creative jukes.
Cons: A long, slow heal. Health Potions provide much more burst healing and are better for tight situations.

Bottle of Tears
Item Name: Bottle of Tears
Cost: 600
Category: Supplies
Purchased From: Base
Components: None
Used In: None
Brief Summary: Bottle of Tears has three charges that can be used to heal you and replenish your Mana. Each charge heals you for 135 Health and 70 Mana over 3 seconds, but is dispelled if you take damage. Charges can be refilled by collecting Tablets (Runes), or entering the Well. You can store a Tablet in your Bottle for up to two minutes.
Tips and Tricks: Couriers can refill two-thirds of a Bottle simply by entering the well. A Bottle can be used in the middle of a fight, because chances are you'll be able to get at least a second or two of the heal and replenishment between incoming damage. Use the charges to save your life if you have a DoT on you (use it between the ticks). Controlling the Tablets (Runes) is especially important if you have a Bottle.
Recommended For: Most middle heroes, and certain heroes that use spells frequently, or have spells that are very taxing on their Mana.
Pros: Excellent Health and Mana Regen. A Bottle is not disposable like a Health Potion or a Mana Potion - it'll be with you for the remainder of the game. Allows for the storage of Tablets (Runes).
Cons: Expensive compared to other consumables. If another teammate has one, you might be competing with him or her as well as the enemy team for control of Tablets (Runes).
