As you can see it was as low as 70 cents just not too long ago. USD was very expensive then (even more so in the early 2000s), but now it's the place to get cheap goods and holidays. The new thailand, if you will.
did u just compare my America, home of the brave, to thailand, home of many a sweatshop? YOU TAKE IT BACK OR I SWEAR WE WILL START A SECOND COLD WAR ON YOU COMMIES
this one time i put a note through the wash
:O :O :O
Thanks AvunaOs for the sig!
I feel like such a bigwig even though everything in the US costs 40% less.
Yes, It's funny when Americans complain about Video games are too expensive at $50. It's irritating. That, and the fact that Americans can get ****ing Celebii for their pokedexes, and yet complain they have to drive 20 miles to go get it.
I'm in ****ing Australia, the land where there's no R18 rating on games! Where theres never even been an international Pokemon tournament, and the VGC doesn't even allow Australia to even compete.
E-Sports comes to die here.
AUD is so good my paypal account finally has enough to buy minecraft
I'd sing you a song, but
I'm just a little hoarse.
I don't know about your eyes, but I work at a supermarket, and I am on registers fairly often. Our $50 dollar bill is actually more of a yellow. Want proof?
But yes, I agree, e-sports dies in Australia. Also, **** gets sent out in the 1000's to Australia or more, but even though our dollar is cheaper, we get charged an extra 100 - 200 bucks for things like graphics cards and the like. It makes no sense, especially when a consumer is able to buy it brand new from america, and get it here far cheaper, even though they don't get the discount that suppliers do when buying in bulk.
Regardless, the colour of Australian notes actually do fade over time, so it is highly unlikely that whatever colour that the note actually is will turn orange. (Physically impossible really).
So, it's either yellow, or it will be soon O_O
They're pineapple colour (which is more yellow than orange).
I'd sing you a song, but
I'm just a little hoarse.
I have not actually heard of an official colour called Pineapple colour, but it appears it is more yellow than orange, so I agree with Roger, clearly![]()
We have famous Australian poems on the front and back of the 10 dollar note, microscopically placed onto the note. Now that's ****in sick ;D Also, that bit with the southern cross star? The black around it is actually clear kinda... plastic I guess, it's hard to describe, but it's awesome :3
If you fold our $5 note right you can make it look like whale intercourse.
1AUD = 1.0499USD it's like the 1930's all over again.
