The reason there is a recipe is so the item can't be disassembled.
Shouldn't there be a rule against constant bumping? If you have to bump it that many times, take it as nobody cares. Staff is fine like it is, and to make such a minor change would involve them taking extra time out of S2's day when they could be using that to fix this damn take forever to get logged in issue.

It's a good idea... but not being a formula anymore makes it possible to be split back into its components... dont think this could be abused as of now... but who knows.
10 Stats items can be used in: Shrunken head, Brutalizer, Codex, Nome's wisdom, Stormspirit, the list goes on. I dont think it could be abused as such, just that the options would be nice.
I have the same concern, especially since 3 items of the SotM are used in Geo Bane and FWS, wich are very popluar late game items.
I don't know if this is actually a bad thing though...
