,
,
ulti have ministuns
,
and
can pull/push you to stop TP-channeling even though you're magic immune.
lighting stuff (and
ulti) reveals wards or invis heros. You can pull the nearest creepspot to the river, hit them with lightning and kill the :WardOfSight: if you have an ally with you.
Useshiver /
Eyes to block creep spawns
If you get an attack modifier like :FrostwolfsSkull: on :Vind: /, it applies to everyone when you ulti.
:TabletOfCommand: cancel channeling spells (like/
ulti)
As, you can posthaste to your bird when it's invisible without breaking the invis.
You can buy complete :Steamboots: from the sideshop by buying an :ApprenticesRobe:
You can toggle your :RingOfTheTeacher:, so only allied heroes get the armour buff. If you buff all allies, all the creeps also have extra armour, which means you're indirectly pushing the lane.
ultimate is PHYSICAL. :ShrunkenHead: does not help, but :VoidTalisman: does!
The charges of :NullfireBlade:, as well as Electrician's ultimate can be used for more things than just slowing enemies. Use it to dispell buffs and debuffs ! kill summon units like malpha
fire shield can debuff slows such as
not storm
can do >700 physical damage early game with his healing wave to an enemy that is surrounded by allied creeps (great counter to
spin)
is a very strong counter to a
as he can push
back with an auto-attack when he is spinning.
A lot of self-cast items (:ShrunkenHead:, :AssassinShrouddo not break channeling abilities. You can use :ShrunkenHead: during
ulti, :AssassinShroud: during
ulti, etc.
Double clicking usable items will cast them on yourself like :
:TabletOfCommand: will push yourself in the direction you are facing
:HomecomingStone: will tp you to the pool
:Portalkey: will tp you in direction of the pool
You should build :chal: + :Lifetube: on a lot of strength heroes. It allows you to spam your spells (harass your enemy more) and stay in lane longer! The tube can be used for :HelmOfTheBlackLegio: later on.
shield is very useful late game. 12 armour and slowing attacking units! Always cast it on your carry, you can keep multiple shields up at the same time.
Empath's essence link does a lot of damage early game. A lot of people underestimate this!
ultimate has only 10 seconds cooldown with staff of the master (furthermore, it give you just the stats you need on
). Swap heroes all the time
is a very versatile hero thanks to his toss:
* Do a stun+toss combo for extra magic damage
* Toss your allied tank/stunner such asor
into the enemy to initiate.
* Toss an enemy towards you allies who are standing at the tower.
matraxe (the ultimate) gains strength over time while you're near enemy heroes! Buy a :Portalkey:, blink on the enemy team to initiate, stun, activate your ultimate, (arcane shield if necessary), and detonate the shield when you're starting to take damage.
buy :Portalkey: -> use :Portalkey: to get close to the enemy -> use silence + ulti -> use shellsurf -> use take cover (-> port back to safety)
You can sacrificebird for
elementals for easy lvl 1 kongor (with the right setup)
With range hero, attack enemy hero, when the projectile is sent, move your hero, then right click enemy hero to attack again, repeat...
When people try to juke you by running into the fog, just alt+a the fog area where they might go, so if you JUST catch up you will hit the target.
:Steamboots: are not just the "carryboots", they work on a lot of heroes. Ability to toggle between the attribute boosts is invaluable and learning how to use it is quite the step.
agility for using :Bottle:, int when you need more mana / regen mana etc...
Early game, you need 2 autoattack to kill ranged creep before tower kill him
With![]()
use your spell to harass by manually using it (not right click auto), it doesn't draw creep agro
Use :WhisperingHelm: to dominate a creep and use him to pull ancients. This is especially useful with heroes likeor
since they have huge splash and can clear it very early
:StaffOfTheMaster: can be built with glowstone + any two different 10 stats items + recipe
dispells all buffs on himself when spinning, if using ghost marchers, activate them after spin.
:GeometersBane: also dispells buffs
toxicity stops/lowers regen
Silencingwill reveal him
Asyou will apply orb effect to the target you charge, exemple : if you charge legionnaire who is on the other side of the map, the second you apply charge on him you will also apply your orb effect.
if you got :AssassinShroud:, you can :HomecomingStone: / :PostHaste: and use :AssassinShroud: to be invis after porting.
If you usemummies near the cliff in the river and denie the one next to the cliff you can climb. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdUqlKhqS-8
You can stack withrocket, since creeps are NOT blocked by sight, but rather proximity. You just have to shoot and hit the creeps with the very edge of the damage, so the gadget produced in the middle of the AoE isn't close enough to block creeps.
Always stack before pulling creeps. Unstacked, the pull might deny one creep and will push the lane, whereas stacked it will deny a whole wave and avoid pushing the lane and give less xp to enemy
Channeling ulti ondoes not break invis. So you can :AssassinShroud: and you will only be revealed once it goes off. (doesn't works with invis rune)
As a, you can use Fissure to block the creeps. It will make creeps take a very long detour (mostly near the river) and skip the first tower entirely.
Asyou can use Flurry to move away from opponent when affected by a very strong slowing effect, you can Flick a creep to escape
fissure...
:FrostwolfsSkull: applies to a lot of spells (haunt, blast of lightning, moon beam, chain lightning, global silence, lightning storm, entangle, mojo, cocktail stun, terrifying charge, cold shoulder, rampage charge, the chains that bind, BH silence, BH ult, flick, chuck, panda ult, demonic pathogen, magikarp, power drain, snot, smitten, opposite charges, log-toss, HB dot, corrupted conduit, pyro and witch slayer ult, shrink, morph, pounce, showdown, hammer throw, puppeteers hold, puppet show, voodoo puppet, glacial blasts, fireball, flaming hammer, swift slashes, contagion, plague carrier, tongue tied, vampiric flight, consume, venomous leap, electrician purge)
putting frenzy on
Malphas gives it 370 move speed and insane dps. A level 3 Malphas with frenzy can almost solo 2 towers.
turret pushes and damages through magic immunity. This makes swiftblade mad.
is an underrated and misplayed hero. He should always get a lot of mana and max out his SHIELD. That's because his shield does 50% more damage than mock, costs no money, and gives survivability..
With![]()

... use your spells and as soon as possible, use cancel key, you will see if enemy react.
:ShrunkenHead: decreases in duration as you use it. The first time you use it, you have 10 seconds, the next time 9, ... to five seconds. If it's late game, you may want to consider selling your :ShrunkenHead: and getting a new one. That 2,000 gold you spend on getting a new one will probably be worth it for the extra 5 seconds of magic immunity.
You can queue commands with shift, exemple with :magn: use ulti, then shift :Portalkey: where you want to go. Your ulti will deal the max damage.
first spell give 800 clearvision, use it to avoid juke around trees
:FrostfieldPlate: give clearvision when used and don't break channeling spells
can move over anything if he grips someone on the other side.
can deal more damage with his ulti if you have more attack speed (exemple : activate :ElderParasite
If your getting chased asquick tap rot on/off to slow them
You can use items without being revealed while under the effect of :trea: Invis
ulti is undispellable, as is
ult,
Entangle and
Cursed Ground
freeze skill reduces damage taken by 50% if cast on allies, use it on yourself before ulti
gets revealed if someone silence him, even if he was already invis

How to triple stack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUK4bcuuzdI
You can pull the big creep on the Hellbourne side (top left) at 22 or 52 sec to the lane
If you use a :Stormspirit: on yourself as, you are untuchable as your ult eats the enemy up.
You can select the wards fromor
make them target a certain enemy hero/tower.
You can counterulti with
by sleeping your ally and putting the spider to sleep when it attacks and waking your ally up.
How to refil :Bottle: with? use showdown lvl4, use :HomecomingStone:, then you will be back with refil :Bottle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0DLeC492oQ
:Lifetube: can be used in :ShamansHeaddress: instead of :TrinketOfRestoratio:TrinketOfRestoratio (but it cost more)

Some of this was actually helpful. Thanks
Summary of things people don't know
- How to play this game.
#1
The alt + a to atack enemies at fog was a great aid. the rest i knew all
Maliken Bottle refill doesnt work because the sword is faster now, gladi only works with showdown lvl 4. you put a blacksmith icon to the point talking about engis turret.
otherwise, interesting read, even if i knew most of it. might go look for some more stuff to add.
You can free heroes from's "Puppeteers Hold" ability by using Stormspirit, nullfire or a tablet of command in them. same goes for his "puppet show" but it can also be removed by killing the target that the affected hero is attacking (for example a creep)
Casting's "Puppet show" ensures that the affected hero CAN NOT kill you untill the duration is over, unless they have summons or allready have a damage over time spell on you
's Spiderling (Ultimate) dies if she dies, therefore do not fear her ultimate if you can kill her fast enough(

The list goes on)
Using's "Mezmorize" spell on a friendly hero while an enemy spell or attack is midair can save his life if you time it correctly, once the spell/attack is "dodged" instantly tap "A / Order attack" and attack your ally to free him! (Scouts ultimate is probably the easiest one to dodge, or soulreapers "Judgement)
:Steamboots: Swapping steamboots from intelligence/Strength to agility while enemy attacks are midair can actually help you take less damage! (Dont do this in teamfights, do this while retreating from a towerdive / Lasthitting creeps)
Someone mentioned it earlier, but its so important i'll to say it myself. ALLWAYS swap steamboots to agi before taking a zip from your bottle, this will earn you 34 more mana and 40ish health
Feel free to use any of this info
