It's actualy too easy.
A lot of peoples just leave game if they do not like pick from their team and in many cases the game is remade and then, they haven't got the "leaver %"
Auto-remake game, if there is a leaver before first blood or before 5 minutes of game.
- Add one leave to the leaver.
- Punish him with -xx MMr/PSr.
Simulation of the event :
After match :Code:Game start. 00.30 : Player_A has left the game. Server : Caution, game will end in 45sec.
Other players :
* 45sec + (3pause of 60sec) = 225sec to reconnect. (3.45min)
- Leaver punished.
- Less game 4v5.
- less leavers (since people gonna cry after -30mmr/+1 leave).
- More happy peoples.
- If someone has a bug/crash and doesn't leave on purpose, he will be punished too.
How would you take into consideration those who just d/c, and attempt to rejoin, but the game has been remade already?
Also its a minus problem.
How many % of early leaver (before first blood/5min) arn't on purpose ?
You still can Pause the game if you know he will come back.
or change rules :
You've got 5min to rejoin a game after first blood, only 120 sec before.
ofc everytime you fix a problem, you've got some "pros" and "cons" in this case there is more "leaver on purpose" than "real d/c", so i'm ok with it.
The system there is now is better imo.
This one would only bring whining from the ones who crashes and gets punished for it (Yes, I crash ALOT, but usually make it back tho')
If life was perfect :
I don't think someone looking for Serious game/Ladder wanna play 4v5.MMr = Serious game...
PSr = Cool game/fun game.
A lot of public dota league has "remake/game over" when there is an Early Leaver, ofc it's unfair if it not on purpose, but life isn't fair and it's still YOUR fault if you can't fix your computer.
As I said the 90% of early leaver are "on purpose", they really need to be unished if we want less leavers.
And only this can fix the 5players wanting an easy win 4v5.
Hon is balanced for 5v5, MatchMaking = 5v5.
In my opinion, leavers should not be punished by -MMR / -PSR but instead by a banishment. For example: If you leave one game, there is no punishment, the second leave within one month will result in 1 hour ban. The third leave will result in a 6 hour ban and so on~. It's the only way to get rid of the leavers, really.
Text-only sigs are terrible
I'd rather see they made it like this: Add a new "Search Rated in progress" button so that people can simply click it to join a quick game where a leave has occured. The "joiner" will get to see which items/level the player before had, and can choose to play it or not. You should also be able to invite friends to take the empty seat.
Ofc there will have to be a limit to MMR so that a 1300 doesn't leave and a 1800 joins. And ofc this qould require a shitload of tweeking, but it would help players that dont have time to sit around in a lobby to find a game and it would help when players leave.
that would be so good i hate when it's like 4 v 5 and you lose because of 1 person
Why 45 seconds and not 5 minutes? That is, if he dcs before say 5 minutes or before first blood then after 5 minutes, he is terminated naturally and game remakes. He gets leaver status too. Don't know about -MMR and how it could mess things up.
ps. The difference from the current system is that the game can be remade after 7.30 and that it will be done so automatically, without the need of vote.
Maybe I should find something cool to add here...
Voting no because:
Leaving a game before first blood, intentional or not, has no reflection on your skill level as a player, which is something MMR tries to reflect. Subtracting MMR arbitrarily only serves to undermine the system.
definitely yes, those early game quitters are not being punished at all if there is a remake which is plain wrong
adjust the 45 sec period and the -mmr to not be that high but instead the normal win/loss rating (~5) though, because a leave is punishment enough (+ some rating loss on top) to discourage people and does not **** up too much if someone really has to go or crashes
yess 100% really sick of losing MMR because the other team enjoy having an unfair advantage.
*Me playing a game, 2minutes in, an emergency rises in my family or house, I leave* now I lose -30MMR for something I could not control?
I think you have good intentions...but voting no
