Moderators - Too lighthanded?

Trolls, flamers, inappropriate/offensive language, etc.

Where are the ban hammers? I'm really just sick of the back & forth flaming and trolling between the same typical users in every thread. Also sick of the amount of people shouting OP 'WHAT THE F*** WERE YOU THINKING' comments.

I used to moderate communities for certain games, and I was quite heavy handed. Maybe I'm not used to the light/lack of moderation in this community.

Use the report function on offending posts. Moderators can't be everywhere.

There's no problem with it, I've been banned before.
The problem is that infractions and warnings do nothing! Don't say I'm wrong because I'll take an infraction till the day I die since it does NOTHING but scare you into... well... nothing.

Anyway... yeah, I agree that the forum does lack moderators. Was thinking if I could actually apply and stuff. Since I've had a lot of experience from multiple online games and I have a lot of experience from DotA. :P + I really think the forum needs to get sorted. Too much threads about the same thing and stuff. + Moderators need to work more closely / at least be able to communicate freely with the dev / support group so that announcements are made when the server goes down / bugs arise.
