with the remake of the scout it seems that some, if not all, of his abilities have been buffed to the extreme. Disarm adding 100% damage with 25% chance proc? More wards that can silence through magic immunity, and ult that deals damage + max percentage of health?
does this means that the scout will be seeing a lot more action in higher levels of play?
I still think Scout is too situational to really see much use.
That being said, Scout is now a guaranteed pick in a pub game - disarm makes him insane tbh. In the right hands, he tears through just about anyone now.
I have been trying funky builds on scout last game- sacstone 2 hearts with 4258hp. I had huge ult dmg this game. Then i tried a more defensive scout. Frostwolfskull and linkins(forgot HoN name :P) 2 bfury, and i have to say they cant do anything 1v1 against you ahha.
Scout is definatley a more "fun" hero and very situational if you actually playing competative games(when they have skill based heros)
assassin's shroud is now a must with scout... Shourd + ult, then follow up with vanish + stab stab stab = sweet rice! is it just me or with the new vanish changes, unless you kill someone, your going to die very soon as scout?

Elder Parasite makes no sense. With your attack speed bonus, Elder Parasite's additional attack speed is an almost inconsequential increase. Without your own attack speed bonus, Elder Parasite's additional attack speed bonus is alright but no better than any other fragile melee hero (aka bad). Furthermore the life leech is practically wasted -- during your hypermode your HP is full so you aren't gaining anything, and after your hypermode you don't attack fast or hard enough to make the life leech matter a great deal.
Shieldbreaker - good item.
Savage Mace - is this MKB? if so then good item, not as good as Shieldbreaker or flayer though because the stun portion cannot disarm-crit
Flayer - obviously a good item as well, like MKB, but better, because a crit can also disarm-crit.
with the bugginess of vanish as it is, shroud is actually quite a potent item on scout, allowing you to essentially chain vanish into shroud into vanish again for 12 attacks during the 6 second eye silence
HotD is infinitely better than Elder Parasite if you want to jungle, and has a similar cost.
Id say for sure top tier. Awesome ganking, still decent scouting/warding, huge AoE silence (sooo imba >.> there needs to be a time between the laying and when you can detonate it) a really good finishing move that scales decently well too, and can turn into a lategame dps or even a anti carry
I dont like the changes. He is gonna be even more picked in pubs now![]()
Why is there a limit of 2 wards you can buy, but it's fine to let a badass anti-carry have 5 wards which can also silence.
Imo, a really good build is going thunderclaw, --> thunder hammer w/e its called, the new vanish synergizes incredibly with it and the new thunder hammer throws in an amazing 70 atk speed. Farming becomes ez, and hero killing is a thing in the past.
Charged Hammer works wonders with the new vanish, its hilarious when you just instagib everythin on the screen in 4 fell swoops.
He is not top tier, but definetely a good hero overall.
That being said, I see no reason ANYONE will want to play Night Hound any more.
They are both perma invisible until you hit something. They both silence, but yours has map control to boot. Night Hound has 80% miss for a few seconds, you have a ridiculous disarm proc with 500% attack speed to boot.
And finally, you have a Laguna Blade on top of all that.
Still, 200g counter you quite easily :P
To a couple people in this thread, how does 180 or 200 gold counter Scout if he doesn't even need to rely on his invisibility to run away anymore. He just uses the insane ms bonus to get where he needs to be and then the insane attack speed to kill you in a couple seconds. He's pretty much the best carry in the game now, not to mention having an amazing disable, map control, and ganking.
