    Circumventing the unpause timer

    Was playing game Match 31495898 and player from enemy team unpaused the game when our pause was on like for 6 seconds.

    This pause gets voted at 1:52 ingame clock and 4:47 replay time clock.

    The possible reason for this might relate to that fact we had one player disconnected during the time pause was voted and he came back before it passed.

    Timestamp: second pause, right after repulsor gets to lvl2 and reconnects.

    What happened: plague rider unpauses far before the unpause-timer has run down.

    i think one occurence where this is possible is when you hit unpause right in the moment when the pause countdown rans down (or spam the unpause command). this is not the case here however, as it was done not instantly.

    maybe there's no server side check on the pause timer?

    It's confirmed but going to Indeterminate since we still have no idea what causes this issue.

    Issue with pause.

    Match ID: 35874467

    So we were playing our match and our disconnected, and I know the timer runs out so the other team can unpause, which they do. So we immediately use our second pause, and right after the pause happened the other team was able to unpause as quickly as we paused, and they clearly took advantage of the disconnect to win the game. Pretty ridiculous.

    50:42 is where the pause starts. And it's unpaused almost immediately

    Thanks, merging with other Indeterminate thread.

    Reason it's not confirmed is because there aren't enough cases to pinpoint the real cause

    Seems similar to other games, and I have NO idea how the connection from client to server works, but is it possible to spoof a packet that contains the unpause command?

    although most of the people that unpause games although they're logically not allowed probably do not even know what packets are; can't be. the unpauser can not get the IP from another player in that match without direct access to that specific server or the player telling him. besides that, in all the cases we have here the unpauser is stated by the server as a player that is logically not allowed to unpause - a player from the opposing team. just sending a packet that supposedly comes from yourself will do the same as writing unpause into the console: the server checks if you're allowed to unpause at the moment and will then either do nothing or unpause the game.
    there has to be some glitch to make the server circumvent that check besides sending an unpause right in the moment the pause happens.

    Glitch: Hellbourne unpause a Legion Pause 4 seconds after.

    Game (match id: 43982530)

    At 22.34 of the game, WEBE of team legion calls and passes a vote to pause.

    4 seconds later at 22.38 Wr3ck unpauses the game.

    This kinda cost us the match as WEBE was lagging and dc'd to fix it, he wasn't able to return and we couldn't pause any more.

    I have absolutely no idea how to recreate this bug as I've never been able to do it, I am also concidering reporting for exploiting this OBVIOUS bug of unpausing 4 seconds after you know the enemy team paused.

    ? no, , but this was a clear exploit, and I have no idea how it happened.

    So are we ever going to get this reviewed? Seems like this was reported a long time ago but it's still happening.

    4.00 on game timer.

    Our Zefa got dropped, we are pausing our last (third) time, and instantly:

    "Legende222 has unpaused the game..."

    What?

    Im not sure how accurate the timer displayed is, but I noticed when clicking the dropdown up and down a few times the timer jumped from about half ready to able to unpause. Perhaps it is possible to do this simply by clicking the dropdown many times to get the unpause available to you?

    If you open/close it reptively the timer shortens up (much more than the actual time lapsed)
    Never managed to unpaused instantly though so this might not be related, none the less true.

    Bug(or not?) with 3rd pause

    When my teammate and i was pausing 3rd time(for DC players can reconnect) opponent unpaused it after 10 seconds. Match ID: 55107807. Replay worth watching from 9:10.
