Is there a possibility that the "Auto-Alt" Mod also picks the alt model if you get force randomed? For example you're afk till pick time is over? I think impossible but would love to hear it isn't!

This would have to use the same method as when auto-picking the potential hero. Reason being, as soon as the countdown hits 0, you cant pick an alt avatar anymore. So yes, I could add an option to auto-random at x-seconds left, but I think this would hurt more than it would help.

I don't know if it's just me or my mods but "Auto-Alt" doesn't work anymore (sometimes).
Could be latency related, the servers are really laggy.
Doesn't happen for every hero though.

I just seem to have issues with the new Pebbles skin.
It won't automatically select it and if I select the skin myself then it will revert it to normal Pebbles after a few seconds and I can't select the skin anymore. It doesn't happen with the mod off.

Any chance of an update on the hero picker part of auto-alt?
Mine hasn't updated for Martyr yet.

I'm no code junkie so I've got limited knowledge but I know the basics. If someone could show me the auto pick part and how to modify it for new heroes that's be great, or point me to a guide that already has it, I can't seem to find one, and I can't use another mod because it disables my auto-alt

Edit: I tried to change some of the code around by copy pasting the Aluna line and renaming it to Ra but I can't seem to find the code name for Ra in practice he is just Hero_Ra but just Ra in the code doesn't work.

Edit2: Nevermind problem solved, I forgot to re-apply the updated mod in HoN Modman before I reopened the game after changing the .xml.

Please don't use any other instant pick mod than Instant Pick Mod - Updatefree. It will always have all the heroes available, you will never need to update it when a new hero is released.

Also, it doesn't disable Auto-Alt, the >Instant Pick Feature< of Auto-Alt 1.6 disables itself, when it detects St0l3n_ID Instant Picker, to prevent you, the user, from making silly mistakes like setting up one mod to pick Scout and the other mod to pick Ra. Btw. I just removed the instant pick "feature" of Auto-Alt in 1.6.1, as it was no longer needed.

I thought it was just my old laptop, but i just build my new pc from scratch, and i still drop below 20 fps in team fights when using player names lite, but can maintain 40-60+ easily otherwise.

RIG:
CPU: AMD Phenon II X4 955 3.2 GH'Z 6MB lvl 3 cache (O.C. to 2.8 GH'Z)
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600
GPU: Nvidia GTX 560 TI 1GB (overclocked significantly as well)
Monitor: 24" 1900 X 1080

Ok will do, thanks for the reply, I just noticed myself that it wasn't working no matter what hero I picked, now I know why.

I was just a bit worried when the button on the UI was saying it had found St0l3n_ID Instant Picker and disabled the auto_alt, guess I should of done some more testing.

Love the mod btw, I've actually gotten more skins because of this mod!

Edit: My Player Names Lite wasn't working because I was using a slightly outdated version that was modified. I switched to the newest version and the mod is working fine. Please ignore this post.

I believe the HON programmers made bad choices. The game is not programmed for multicores.

A restart is required if you enable AA or else the fps will noticeably drop. I recommend also that post processing be disabled and shadows be set to medium.

Press F12 during the game and scroll around and observe your fps to see a demonstration of lazy programming. Any HON interface takes up too much cpu power.

riddie, I have a suggestion for Player Names Lite. Instead of the skull used for the low HP indicator, add an option to replace it with a Taunt icon and remove the red bar filler. This will act as a reminder for those of us with taunt to use it. I know that the majority of us let it slip our minds. >_>

I just made a custom version of Player Names Lite this morning which does what I stated, however it would be cool if it could be incorporated into the mod itself. That way it would be updatable, and you'd be better at coding it into the mod than I would.
