    Nvidia Blackscreen Problem.

    Hi!

Whenever i'm playing HoN i suddenly get blackscreens during which the sound stutters. Following this i get a message that my screendriver has stopped responding and has been restarted. I'd assume this was a fault on my end, but thing is, it's only ever happened in HoN.

After the reboot the game works for a while, but with horrible framerate. At some point the game will pick up the slack and my framerate returns to normal for a while, after which this resumes.

i'm running this on an Alienware m15x

    Intel i3 cpu m330 @ 2.13 GHz
    4 gb ram
    Nvidia GeForce gtx 260m

This may be the nvidia blackscreen issue, but since i can't really see details about it in the sticky i'll post this.

going to upload log and then link it here

edit: aaaand here's my console log http://tools.heroesofnewerth.com/vie...1b&action=view

    Hi Carpetninja,

It sounds like your issue has to do with your nvidia chipset. We are aware of the issue and working to remedy it.

Please have patience and we will see to it that it is solved as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

There is no band-aid solution or anything? It's making for a horrible playing experience as my computer seems to hate me and always fires off the blackscreen as the worst possible time.

Sorry Carpetninja, this is an issue with the driver, and we have to wait for Nvidia to fix it.

There is no "band-aid" solution to it, you can try lowering the graphics settings, especially shaders, but it might not help.

I have not been involved in the interaction with Nvidia, but I believe they've been able to reproduce the issue and are looking into it.

I'm pretty sure they weren't able to reproduce it till recently (as far as I know we sent them a computer that experienced this issue).

So I think they're making progress.

I've got an update for you; a quite joyous one. Turning down shaders to "low" completely fixed my issue. Everything else is on high. This might be of use for other users till the issue is resolved from nvidias part
