units take more dmg while hexed?

Long time ago when i first started playing witchslayer, someone told me that i should hex before i use ulti, cause that way, the ulti does more dmg... is this true? and if so, why? cause the tooltip doesnt say anything about the units magic resistance being set to 0??

I think this might have been true at one point a long time ago in dota, but I'm not totally sure about that.

Not sure if he was just stupid, or couldn't find any other way to convince you to hex if you weren't... But yeah, not true. However, good question to ask; there are some things not in tooltips that do happen in the game.

In dota, hex removed some defensive abilities (evasion and damage block), idk if this is true in hon. In either case, it wouldnt cause witch slayer's ult to do more damage.

Back in WC3, hex used to also change a units armor type to light armor/unarmored (not sure which), which would result in auto attacks doing more dmg. Guess that didnt transfer to dota though.

correct me if im wrong here.
