[Graphical Design Advice] Portfolio - Grid - A3

    Hello!

I am currently having to finish a project for tomorrow, and I simply can't think of
a good grid for my portfolio. It isn't a serious Graphical Design Portfolio, but
    merely a small project.

Not looking for someone else's work, but rather, someone who could give me
some inspiration or advice for it!

It has to be A3 (lying down), created in Illustrator, be (preferably) aligned with
the Golden Section, and not a "de-constructed" design. Minimal text is required,
with emphasis on an image elaborating my work.

Here is a quick sketch of what it should somewhat be, so that you may have a clue too.

(It's supposed to white, don't mind that)

I don't want to rush you or anything, but I'll probably go to bed in 4-5 hours, so quick responses would be much appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.

    Sincerely,
    Norroar~

It's a program from Adobe, which is used to make vector drawings.

Image I uploaded is pixel-based, and that is because I exported it as a rasterized JPEG format through Photoshop CS5.

What I need to create, is a vector-based drawing. This essentially means that it doesn't use pixels~ No matter how much you stretch it, or zoom in, it will always look "perfect".

I'll post a few examples in a second.

    Here's a simple one, which might give you an idea;

Edit: And two more just to clarify it even further!

    let me get this right.
u need somebody to help you design your "portfolio page" ?
    .
i'd keep it simple, no lines. just sherif sans title, thaoma light gray text and the image with a black border.
It could be centeder if its more serious, but u dont need that either.

ill make some examples for u. give me a second

I have a crush on you.

However, my sensei said that it should preferably look like something specific. I will try
provide an image. Sadly, it is 1:12 AM, so not sure I can find the right one (since there is
    no-one to ask).

It should definitely be simple, and the lines to the right side of that image, aren't
supposed to be there. It was just an indication of where the images could be, which
probably made more sense when it was told to me.

I'll be back in 10 minutes or so, and upload a picture of it.

~ That is not to say we're not allowed to go outside the boundaries. If you have a
brilliant suggestion, I would gladly take it.

Currently, I am trying to fit a Golden Spiral into my A3, which is ... somewhat difficult.
Not sure how the proportions (per grid) should be. *sob*

Edit: Ok, I am at my work computer now. Just dragging down the files from the server, so that I can upload/show them. It's just a bunch of .pdf files.

    UPDATE:

Okay, I have uploaded some screenshots of the more important parts of the .pdf files. I added to an album on imgur, which you should be able to view~

    http://imgur.com/a/AJkbj#2JhJd

It has some pictures of portfolio examples, and on grid systems. Don't mind the gibberish text, that is just my language ^__^

    Update 2:

Leaving work computer now. brb 10 min.

Holy Christ, you just made them yourselves?

    I applaud you.

Yes, the crush was meant for you~
also, it is sadly on paper. Well, I need to print it, but it needs to be on an A3 sheet I can deliver. Amazing things, though! Looking for some variations of the first one :3 (clean portfolio ^_^)

So to clarify further, I really appreciate all of it! They're really great, but sadly, that is quite far away from what they wanted (too much graphic on some of them). It should be very minimalistic, so to speak! ^_^

i know, they get more charged with each example.

1st option is fine for me too. just had some fun with photoshop helping u^^

also, you dont need a vector image if ur going to print it. I usually work with the size im printing later on. My computer can handle managing an A3 size image in photoshop.

vectors are for images that will have VERY diferent printing sizes (from a sticker to a street poster).

    luck with that =)

    Thanks for your help ^_^

And the thing is, we also have to give the vector file to them, so that they can use it for [insert whatever].
