Complete guide to managing 'groups' with micro.

Let's take our big gal + minions :

3 creeps - Mino, K.skeleton, Catman and Puzzlebox

I want Ophelia on 1, creeps on 2 and puzzle minions on 3
I also want EVERYTHING on 4.

Assuming i started bare i would:

1. CTRL + 1 = ophelia on 1
2. CTRL + 2 = Minotaur on 2
3. (select skeleton) SHIFT + 2 = mino + skeleton on 2
   
   • (this is great for just adding X to a control group without any messing around)
4. (select catman) SHIFT + 2 = all creeps on 2
   
   • Press 2 to bring up group and tab to the skeleton i wish to begin my combo on:
5. CTRL + 2 the whole group to make skeleton always be first pick when i press 2.
   
   
6. (Select both puzzle minions) CTRL + 3 = both minions are now control group 3 with the wizard first - to burn people duh.
   
7. Now i select EVERYTHING and put it on CTRL + 4 with courier on ~ or 5.

Her'es a run down of how it would work in a gank:

*pop puzzlebox* Press 4 - right click hero, all your units chase him/ towards him.
Press 2, q, left click hero - skeleton hold!
Press 1, q, left click hero - slow that mofo
w, left click hero - nuke that mofo
Press 3, q, left click hero - mana burn with extra damage from Q!
Press 2, tab, q mino stun when mino is on him, tab, q catman slow when mino stun wears off.

any time you want to move all your guys, 4 and right click, 3 rightclick and move puzzle, 2 right click move minions, 1 right click move hero.
If you really wanted to have it split out further you could put individual minoins on 5-9 and 0 as courier but i find it's rare you will send you minions at 3 different heroes due to their rather low damage alone.

Am i missing anything here?

TL;DR

• CTRL + # = selected grouped to that number with current selected as 'auto select'
  
• SHIFT + # = add selected unit to group number #
  
• (group) + tab = cycle to next unit in group.
  
• Hero + tab = cycle to next unit controlled (not courier)
  
• Hero + ~ = courier or hero that is dc/sharing control.

Also S2: your selection of groups needs to be better done with Ophelia. see below

i've highlighted the order i Shift+click to group and then the order they ARE in.
Lazy+ link broke: - select any 3 non hero units A,B,C the new order will be A,C,B - impossible to use a skele/mino/catman combo by selecting in that order.

Also, shift+2 , double tap 2 =/= centre on 2. Must CTRL+2 to have it work - bugged as well.

Please note the difference when tabbing through. < any word on that getting fixed?

Hey, when I get puzzlebox on on wretched hag, I bind minions to 3 myself to 2 and all units on 1. It works out fine and everybody is happy. Altough, the next game i wanna play her again, I buy my pb and spawn my minions, I press 3, nothing happens and I have to bind my keys all over again.

So what I'm trying to ask is there any way to make your selections to save? Cause I dont wanna bind that everysingle game.

Bangerz mod's in the mod section - otherwise, no. S2 hasn't implemented this (along with 9000 other things they should).
