    Zephyr

Is it even possible to kill zephyr end game if he feeds in trees long enough?

Play out entire games i never see zephyr i know he is in trees and early game when we go for ganks he just runs away with his amazing shield on.

End game he suddenly emerges, Radiance, Vanguard, Phase boots, and a bloodstone or Heart. Our entire team zergs him, we lose 3 just to kill him. CC doesn't work because his Tornados do all the damage. Building a hood doesn't matter because even if he can't hurt us his team will while he just BD's us to death with his shield on eating tornados if he needs to heal.

Idk i know its a little e-rage, but i played dota a lot, and i'm new to this. But this is just out of hand, there isn't a single hero in dota that is that hard to kill. Period

There are other heroes that are just as hard to kill.. namely anyone who your team lets farm for 25 minutes in the jungle :P. Devourer can be even worse than Zephyr due to his Str gain from creep/hero kills. If you notice an MIA Zephyr on the other team, chances are he's neutralling. Take you and your buddies on a small jungle expedition, find him, and put the owl 6 feet under.

The first time I played zephyr I had no idea what I was doing except I knew that I had to jungle... I jungled all game long, letting bloodhunter carry against a relatively bad team... So I dont know how bad my farming went..

He's pretty much unkillable, I did not know what to build, Helm of the black legion for creep farming then Hood + Demonic Breastplate and Frost Plate + Behemoths heart.. I pushed a lane to victory after that..

I'm pretty sure that if you push early on 5v4 with zephyr farming, you might just win because he will never come out of the forest ready

Zephyr, a good counter to him, Predator.

Electrician -> purge the shield -> grip -> let team mates feast on some owlmeat. That usually works well against him in my experience.

We had predator in one game, immunity to magic and lifesteal doesn't seem to affect him at all..

And the only issue i notice is i play alot of AR and SD games, and if electricians ult really purges the shield then thats badass, but that makes electrician his only true counter and if your team doesn't have electrician what are you supposed to do?

put wards in their forest so he can't farm neutrals. (wards on top of the spawn point prevents them from spawning) Keeper of the Forests eyes will also prevent spawn points from working.

Yeah the 2 best ways to deal with Zephyr is either counter him early by warding jungle or build a nullfire blade on someone, let him think he's cool tower diving with his wind shield then dispel and stun lock. The key is dispelling his buff if you let him farm though, else he's basically unkillable.

I tried nullfire and it did not seem to work. He's way too hard to kill if he farms.

Yes, other heroes are good when they farm, but not like zephyr is. Even though I built nullfire, he generally lived through our whole team. It's very hard to stop him from farming (compared to other heroes) thanks to his flying charge and survivability.

Zeph easily farms with full health and mana, and is so fast that he can pop out into lanes and back into jungle waiting for them to respawn. Apparently our lane had died a few times vs his lane in the first 10 minutes (I think they had a strong solo and zeph would leave jung to help ganks)... by a little over 20 minutes, we had trouble finishing him in 3on1 situations (this is non-em). 2 had no chance to gank him for jungling, and 1 was not even enough to dislodge him from a lane.

The issue with Zephyr is that he can farm insanely well. You have to gank this guy early game. If you don't allow him to farm, he isn't that great. His shield, leap, and his ultimate are great for tanking and escaping so I understand that it is hard to kill this guy.

However, with a CS of 100 ten minutes into a game, any carry will be virtually unkillable if they keep farming at that rate.

Nulfire blade, remove his shield and he drops.

Archedgar you have not seen a decent zephyr or at least one with tornadoes lol. Anyways he used to be a decent possibly subpar heroes but with patches, and introductions of new things hes getting kind of ridiculous. I have a friend now who goes middle zephyr and other than puppet master for some god awful reason rapes everyone else they put mid. He generally first bloods tb/pyro/defiler/whatever in first 3 levels. Starting with bucklers + hatchet against any normal mid makes him basically unkillable because of his ridiculous vs creep dmg and his ability to heal for 50hp every creep kill.

Anyways pre-hatchet friend jungled now he just abuses mid and gets his items early and pushes lanes/jungles inbetween. I seriously cringe everytime I see zephyr on the other team and I think I would rather see defiler/jere/behe/tempest on the other team than him.

If anything, zephyr needs a buff since he's useless early game. Chronos and other carries have much more early game contributions than him.

He's only unkillable if you try to focus him first. He's an awesome tank but he's not really a carry too. Gotta say i love the guy though. Too bad I cant pick him in higher level games
    S2 just surrendered to LoL

You can disable 2 creep spots for 200 gold but as for stopping his jungle, that's about it. It hurts you more than it does hurt him if you go and try to gank him in the woods because he is just going to leap on top of a cliff or through the woods or ult away and then you just wasted a minute of running around the map getting nothing done.

Then there's that other problem with ganking him that he has his eyes on the minimap a lot more than others because he doesn't need to micro anything or worry about dying to creeps, you just point him to the next camp after you kill the previous one. Wild Hunters might provide some distraction because tornadoes don't work on them anymore but that is pretty irrelevant, you can just stack that camp and go to the next right away if the timer is on your side.

As long as he is farming all the time, you play 5vs4. Use it to your advantage.

Im a zephyr player and i know what hurts. Keeper of the forest and bloodhunter. Eyes in the forest ruin the neutral farm and bloodhunters silence (lasts ages) ruins any way of escape.

I must agree with people there is good counters to this hero, only issue that makes him severly better than many heroes is, that you can't stop him from farming forrest, and his stat gain(+2.5, +1.5, +3)

Then ppl will say, U can!!! just ward forrest! ehm, then he counterward and both teams lost equal money, and team who wards against zephyr dont have obs wards now!
Put Eyes up with tree!!! ehm??? first, tree is a retard shitty hero, and 1 hatchet and eyes are gg, U can even see eyes on minimap as a lil red dot, gg tree go kill ya self and get remaked plz.

Then U can go and gank him, well gl ganking a hero who can get lets say 6 zyclones hp(300hp heal) and leap out of combat.

So in other words, destroying his farm in forrest is close to imposible, if the zephyr player got an IQ about 12(maybe even 42, as it's a godly number).

Then there is this stat gain, it's 2,5+1,5+3=7 stats per lvl, normaly heroes is fortunate if they have +6 stats per lvl.

Solution to this hero: Well this is a more though one, 1 thing is sure, nerf stat gains plz, way to good a tank which has so much int he never runs dry of mana! Then there is the skills, which there is a counter to just not early, as nullerfire blade takes some time to farm. So actualy I think nerfing stat gain would prove VERY useful as a start, just to see if he still is sooo untouchable! so new stat gain should imo be (+2.1, +1.2, +2,7) 6 stats per lvl.

And plz dont tell me, that stat gain ain't important, that would be to shoot ya self in the foot, and say yes I'm below the IQ of 12. Every hero which can gain lets say +1 stat compared to other heroes per lvl, will have a free fortified bracer per 12 lvls free without item usage. THAT is kinda much!

There are plenty of heroes in DotA who are hard to kill, just to name a few:

    - Bristleback
    - Dragon Knight
    - Axe
    - Centaur

Then there are others who escape well thanks to spells:

    - Pandaren Brewmaster
    - Naga Siren
    - Mirana

    List goes on...
But yes, Zephyr is probably better at surviving than most of those, but it doesnt mean there are any heroes in DotA who has exceptional surivalbility.

Anyway, as most people said. Dont focus him in fights, his damage is very bad, so kill him last & Enjoy your 4v5 Laning.
