Picking starts...your team right clicks chronos, sw, scout, and tdl.

    lol
I used to try being the "good guy" and pick a support for these suckers. But you know what? F*** all that. Nowadays if they get these kinds of picks i'll follow up with a magebane or NH, because they don't deserve any better. What will picking a support do to help solve the problem? Even if it is somehow won, all that would accomplish is to validate their stupid behavior so they'll all instapick carries again the next 100 games as well.

It's also easier on the nerves when you go into such a game fully expecting a loss instead of trying real hard and failing

About morale, when im playing with 2 of my friends, we usually gank lane or mid at lvl 1 for Firstblood. Well, id say 1/10 times we get ragequit and 9/10 i know we just gave a huge negative morale to that team.

The main point derived from most of these stories is that doing whats best for the team is greater than doing what you want to do.

Problem is 90% of people who play this game don't do this. I'm stuck in the never ending cycle of winning 5 just to lose 7 and 1500 MMR is actually looking impossible at this point. 6 WHOLE GAMES IN A ROW NOWAI IMPOSSIBLE.

I honestly don't give a crap about your KD ratio or your MMR/PSR whatever. I have a few friends who are 1300ish MMR who are actually better team players than people I've run into with 1600+ MMR. Same goes for KD I've seen people with 1.0-2.0 KD who totally blow when it comes to actually winning the game but I have some friends who are .5 KD and are really good support heroes and even play carries well if they're helped out properly.

    Agree.

There are so many annoying instances where someone gets bloodlusted and suddenly decides the game is over and you have lost -.-

I made a post like this the other day in General, but this one's a little more elaborate.

    Take this advice!

You might want to mention that even if someone else is an ass, being polite with them will make them settle down a little in most cases. Or just ignore them. Fighting back will make them fight you more, and sometimes throw the game, because you can't really kick someone's ass over the internet, you can just make them hate you more.

I really like this guide. It can be really tough to remember it sometimes, but it's still good. I would probably add something about it being a team game and that the team is only as strong as it's weakest player somewhere. Understanding that we all face people who are better than us at times is key to enjoying the game.

How do you deal with someone who bushes and won't help because you had a tough lane and mid 'refused to gank'?

Thanks for the guide, recently lost quite alot of MMR playing with just 1 random friend, now I don't really care about rating and try to just have fun, F2P and all the smurfs have made things whack anyway. :P

    +1 Premium.

Coming from playing Dota for about 7 years, this pretty much sums up problems that plague the MMR people around 1500. The one thing i think contributes a lot of this is being able to concede at 15 minutes :/. People lose a lot morale with just a few deaths early on. There's a whole another host of problems which plague 1500's and anything around it, but you pretty much summed up the basics of it

One day, I was in a bad mood. Like a really ****in bad mood, and I didn't give a **** if I was going to ruin the game for anyone else.

So I solo queue and instantly pick Scout. I'm teamed up with a group of four friends.

I managed to get some decent farm but still manage to end up feeding. We're losing midgame, and I start to rage at EVERYONE.

So here I am, bad-mannered feeding noob instantpick Scout scrub who doesn't even use Eyes to ward.

My team mates must have been angels sent by Jesus or something because they somehow managed to NOT get mad and managed to try and cheer me up and actually encourage me.... what the ****... I have never experienced this before.

Anyway, they were so nice and encouraging that I actually started to feel bad, and started to join team fights (which caused me to stop feeding, coincidentally) and we managed to win the game somehow.

Enemy team was pretty terrible as well but **** man, never met a group of nicer guys in HoN before.
HON Shore is an American reality television series that premiered on the HON forums on whenever the **** this game came out in the United States. The series follows the lives of roughly 50 nerds spending their summer playing HON 24/7. Season 2 followed the nerds arguing over being disqualified by Bdiz, known as "Rule Book Bdiz" and "Greasy Nerd Sandwich" with Season 3 involving choir teacher and sexual deviant Tralfamadore leaving team SK and joining SGTY, a team most composed of under 20 year old adolescents. HON has announced that a fourth season, filmed in Europe, will premiere on August 4, 2011.As of June 4, 2011, these nerds have not resolved their differences and continue to be nerdy and do nerd **** all day long, every day.

This should be made into a button that you can click on to read it from in the game, like the message of the day. Everyone should see this, but the people who really need it probably don't wander the forums like us.

I mean hell, the REAL douchebags never come to the Training Grounds because their play is perfect, and every loss is someone else's fault.
