I agree that the bottle change looks like they're making a joke but I don't think we'll see a price change on this announcer.
There really is no problem with this announcer costing money anyway. S2 got the actual voice actor from duke nukem to record the sayings. Obviously that cost some money and it makes sense to charge more for this to make back the money.
It isn't like the MsPudding announcer pack that just required someone already at the company to spend time reading lines. They hired a professional voice actor to read these lines.

this is a game i paid friggin $30 for, no weekly balances, bugpiling and hell, its probably the worst community in the gaming world.

Listen kid, I'd love to go round and round with you, but you can't keep up with my dance. I've tested games you've never heard of. Alpha'd and beta'd so many games I can't even remember them all. I've got a different name in every game and I have a hard time remembering my accounts in some of the games because I'm spending so much time with your girlfriend that I can't play them all. I once trash talked a game in their own forums and the game got CANCELLED. I've got tens of thousands of forum posts and my e-peen is so big the whole internet shifts towards me when I login. You can't hang with this.
