It's my first Heroes of Newerth map. I try to create a new interesting map especialy for 2v2,3v3 or 4v4 (anything else won't make sense) matches.
The map has two lanes, they are bothe close to each other so ganking becomes faster/easier and map controll even more important. The two jungles
(forests) are splitted by the lanes so Junglers could feel "safe". The teleporter which connects both jungles with each other and makes clear that you wont be safe.
To do : [Done | To Do]
- Spawn Jungle Creeps [Legion/ Hellbourne]
- Implement non reachable areas
- Tweak Tower/Rack Positions to imporve balance
- Change Conditions, so Main building is vulnerable after one lane is destroyed
- Tweak Environment (Possible Ward Spots)
- Gameplay Testing
To do (just for the eye, nothing gameplay relevant):
- Tweak Environment ( Adding Critters and so)

I don't really like the name Borderland, it could match every HoN Map with Hellbourne & Legion side. Furthermore I was influenced of playing the game "Borderlands"
a few days ago. So I am open to name suggestion and that's where I need YOU!
Simply post your name suggestion with reason in that thread ( please at least open that map once ingame before posting names)
Maybe this map will have YOUR name!

Do you have vision blockers or ramps in the lanes?
I love the fixed rune in middle.
Thank you, the lanes have ramps. But at this moment no additional Vision Blockers, the most vision is blocked by trees. Have to do some tests to see how the gameplay is changed by that vision.

How far is it between the lanes? I imagine a valkyrie arrow could go from one to the other?
A valk arrow which travels 3000 units so you can trough a arrow from one lane to another (directly) if you through diagonaly it becomes less.
For example you can through a arrow from the the ramp in the mid to the other ramp at the mid (both ramps are the ramps which includes the path( lane) )
After first gameplay tests it seems that because of the close lanes, the whole game focus on ganking, switching lanes and using rune to get advantage. The jungles are
because of their location outside of the action mostly unused. Furthermore the location of the secreat shops seems simply to suck^^ Guess will change their location.
I will try to improve gameplay and finally rework the cliffs for wardspots, maybe lanes will be reworked.
i like it. you know it looks similar to battle tanks on warcraft 3.
I think King's Road would be interesting, or a variant of that.
Because its a thin road though a large forest.
Gaming does not change who you are, who you are changes gaming.
I like the "easy gank", "more action" concept. Btw, about towers, will it be easylanes or hardlanes, or both of them depending on the bot / top ? (The dots don't really help me, I don't understand)
I'm picturing Valkyrie throwing a Javelin and stunning someone in the other lane lol.
I just think it should be on 5vs5 too..
Since it have only 2 lanes, the other will jungle and or will be on have roamer style =)

1. Lane of Destiny [ 2 lane , 2 destiny , victory or lose?]
2. Forest of Creeps [There is forest and forest creeps, simply]

This looks like a great map.
You should call it: Yin Yang forest
This is because the shape of the forest looks like a yin-yang symbol, where the dark side meets the white side, or in this case green but it represents good & evil.
tbh looks exactly like 3v3 map in lol :U guess you got the inspiration there
