S2 planning a custom map server?

Ok so is S2 going to add a custom map server, (something like blizzard did warcraft 3)?

we all know that was pretty much the only reason warcraft still sells for $80 per battlechest...

wow that would be so cool if they add a custom map server...
but they shouldnt save stats there ( like kd etc.) just win/loose rate would be great!
because in most mods/maps its just good to know how often a player wins/looses a match!

They are working on a platform to host your custom maps, but they have a few security flaws atm. I assume you don't want to get hacked by playing custom maps, neither do I, so give them some time to look for a solution. Soon ™

I don't think they said it's coming soon. I remember Fielding saying:

I don't have an ETA of anything, but there is some work yet needed to be done to allow our game servers to safely transition between custom multiplayer maps and the hon map (unloading certain resources etc). Basically, it's possible for modded maps to modify some core files that HoN also uses, and we need to do some extra safety-checks to make the servers switch between running a mod map or a hon map safely.

I won't say this is the highest priority right now - we've got some other stuff in the works - but it's definitely on our to-do list. We want to see these custom maps and such just as much as you guys do

Hope they will do it. Custom maps will make HON game number 1. Just imagine how much diferent games (Tower Defence, RPG, Arena, Survivor & much more) we will be able to play only for 30$! This gonna be amasing! WC3 is very old game, but still very popular because of lot custom maps.

I think hon should boost this in priority it would attract a larger market, if they allowed the community to help them build their game it will of course become the consumers product. They will market for hon it will attract more consumers than they could imagine I'm guessing new heroes, alt avatars are in the making but a product is only as good as the needs it covers let us help you!
