    Glacial Blasts

The Tempest blasts a target enemy with
icy winds, chilling it every two seconds.
Being chilled causes the target to take
    damage and be stunned briefly.

Level 1 : Deals 30 magic damage, stuns for 0.6 seconds, 1 impact
Level 2 : Deals 40 magic damage, stuns for 0.6 seconds, 2 impact
Level 3 : Deals 65 magic damage, stuns for 0.6 seconds, 2 impact

    Range: 600

    Mana cost 110/130/150/160

    Cooldown 15 seconds

    Elemental

The Tempest sacrifices a target unit
and extracts from it the very elements
that composed its being. With these
    elements, the tempest creates three
    Elementals under his control.

    Level 1 : Elemental 200 hp, 2 armor, 16-24 dmg
    Level 2 : Elemental 225 hp, 3 armor, 24-32 dmg

    Elemental effects:
Kills target giving gold and spawns 3 elementals in its place
After each Elemental has attacked 6 times it spawns a duplicate of itself

    Meteor

Attuned to all things natural and cosmic,
the Tempest calls down a meteor that ignites
a target area, causing units within to take
    damage over time.

Level 1 : Damages targets in radius, 3% of maximum health in Magic dmg per second
Level 2 : Damages targets in radius, 4% of maximum health in Magic dmg per second
Level 3 : Damages targets in radius, 5% of maximum health in Magic dmg per second
Level 4 : Damages targets in radius, 6% of maximum health in Magic dmg per second

    Duration: 8 seconds
    Range: 500
    Radius: 400

    Mana cost 95/110/125/140

    Cooldown 20 seconds

    Elemental Void

The Tempest uses his power over the
elements to create an extremely low
    pressure system at target location,
causing fierce winds to drag all enemy
units toward that target location, dealing
    damage over time.

Level 1 : Deals 30 magic damage per second in 500 radius, Applies Elemental Void to targets in 400 radius, Deals 60 magic damage to targets in 150 radius.
Level 2 : Deals 50 magic damage per second in 500 radius, Applies Elemental Void to targets in 400 radius, Deals 100 magic damage to targets in 150 radius.
Level 3 : Deals 70 magic damage per second in 500 radius, Applies Elemental Void to targets in 400 radius, Deals 140 magic damage to targets in 150 radius.

    Range: 250

    Mana Cost 200/300/400
    Cooldown 200/190/180
    Channeling Time 4 seconds

    Elemental Void Effects:
    Silence
    Perplexed
    Disarmed
    Immobilized

    3. Skill build:

    LvL 1 = Elemental (1)
    LvL 2
    = Glacial Blasts (1)
    LvL 3 = Elemental (2)
    LvL 4 = Glacial Blasts (2)
    LvL 5 = Glacial Blasts (3)
    LvL 6 = Elemental Void (1)
    LvL 7 = Glacial Blasts (4)
    LvL 8 = Elemental (3)
    LvL 9 = Elemental (4)
    LvL 10 = Meteor (1)
    LvL 11 = Elemental Void (2)
    LvL 12 = Meteor (2)
    LvL 13 = Meteor (3)
    LvL 14 = Meteor (4)
    LvL 15 = Stats (1)
    LvL 16 = Elemental Void (3)
    LvL 17 = Stats (2)
    .
    .
    .

There are many different ways to skill Tempest. The Skill Build top is the most common one. It is possible to farm with Elemental (2) in woods, so you can skill Elemental (3+4) after you finish Meteor (4) or after you skilled some Stats. In this case your Elementals make less dmg but you have little more mana.
I often let my Elementals on rang 2. Because its enough to farm in woods. When I initiate with PK, I cast Meteor and Elemental Void. Right after my Ultimate I use Glacial Blasts. And in most situations I don’t have enough mana for Elementals
But its up to you – how you want to skill this pushing potentional skill.
If you want to play Tempest as a pusher, you have to max your Elementals like in this Skill Build.
It is also possible to skill Meteor (1) before Elementals (3+4). Meteor destroy trees. So when a enemy Hero try to hide behind trees, you just destroy them and your team has the full sight and can better hunt. The Meteor has also a psychological effect. When enemies see that Meteor, they mostly avoid this “burning field” – no matter if its rang 1 or 4.

    As startitems i recommend:

    -------------- 556g

In most games i played Tempest, the "Pull Creepstack" is blocked by enemys ward of sight. Thats why i always buy a ward of revelation on the beginning - to destroy the enemy ward and unblock this creepset without wasting time. And when the creepstack isnīt blocked, you can use this ward of revelation to counter another ward of sight. If u dont belive the enemy would Ward at all, you can buy 2 Ward of sights.

The 2 Minor Totems gives you a little int/str for early game. And the 5 Mana Potions are needed for mana regeneration due to farming in woods. If no one in your team bought a monkey :Courier:, you can buy the monkey and only 1 Mana Potion. (A Flying courier :FlyingCourier: should be bought later, too - you can buy it or ask an ally to buy it for you)

When u are Legion, u should farm in the woods on the bottom. When u are Hellbourn, u should farm in the woods on the top. First of all u have to put the ward of sight on the right spot. To see the rune AND see when enemy heroes want to gank you, i recommend this spots:

    Legion:

Dont ward this spot like in the Premium Warding guide - the position on my picture is much better, because you have more sight to the bottom
    Hellbourn:

    DONT Ward here:

This Ward block the spawn of the neurtrals right to it!
Pictures for Hellbourn wards are taken from the Premium Warding Guide.
For more information about how to ward and where - see this Premium Warding Guide

After putting the ward of sight to the effective spot u can go to your own 1st creepwave and try to block it so the tower can attack the enemy creeps. If they are not in Towerrange, you can attack an enemy hero. The enemy creeps would attack you and you can bring em into Towerrange. (Alternative you can go to the easy creepcamp first, stack it and kill em - so you can regen some mana while you pulling the next creepwave)

When you are next to your tower, you should start to move to the neutrals creeps on 0:37 Playtime and pull them on 0:44-0:47 and kill all this neutrals (your creeps would tank this naturals. If u only lasthit the naturals, u can denie 1-2 of your own creeps = less xp/money for Hellbourn heroes). [It is possible to stack the creeps (just attack at 0:53 and run away - while they chase you, another naturals are born). Highly recommendet, especially when you are on a "Trilane"]. This point is critical - u have to look on the minimap and watch the enemy Heroes (because of the ward u can see when they coming). Stay on the bottom left side fore more time to react when the enemy is comming.

At this point u are LvL 2. Go to the easy creepcamp in your woods and cast Elemental on one of the neutrals (u can use one Mana posion) [If u are an experienced jungler, u can go at this point to the medium creepcamp instead of the easy one]. Let the elementals tank this neutrals. But dont let one of them die! If u see one of your neutrals is low, put him away and let another one tank. After 6 hits this elementals dublicate and u have 6 elementals. Go with all elements to the next creepcamp and kill it.

At this point u are LvL 3 and stay in woods. Clear now the other creepcamps, if u have time. At
2:44-2:47 or 3:14-3:17 you should pull that "pulling creepstack" again. If u have enough Mana, u can go back to the easy / medium creepstack and doing the same like a few minutes before. When you have enough Mana, you can stay in the woods and farm. When you are completely out of mana, you should go back to the fontain and regenerate it. In this case using Mana Potions take longer to regenerate, then go to base, regenerate and back to woods.

Now you should have enough money to buy the Ring of the Teacher. With the Ring of the Teacher it is much easier to farm in the woods. And when you reach LvL 4, you can help your teammates at any lane and stun one enemy hero (and assist killing him).

On LvL 6 you have your Ultimate. If you see an opportunity to catch both enemy heroes on the lane, use it! (dont forget to tell your Teammate). If you cast your Meteor right before Elemental Void, the enemy Heroes get more dmg (but be sure u have enough mana!).

    Neutrals:

    Yellow = easy creepcamps
In the yellow creepcamp are always 3 Neutrals (the only exclusion are Snotter with 5 Neutrals). You should always cast your Elementals on the middle creep (or the Snotter Boss).

    Orange = medium creepcamps
The Wild Hunters are magic immune. So you cant cast Elementals on them. You have to cast on another camp and kill the Hunters with your Elementals.

When u have the Ogre, you should cast your
Elementals on one of the two Fire Ogre. They have 850 HP (Ice Ogre has 600 and dies faster).

When u have the wolves, you should cast your Elementals on the Wolf Commander. He has 600 HP, an +30% damage aura and a 20% critical chance (2x dmg). The other two wolves have only 500 HP.

When u have the Minotaur and Goatar: You cant cast your
Elementals on Minotaur, thats why u should cast it on Goatar. But be warned - when 3 or more units are near the Minotaur, he will cast his stun (2 sec for Heroes, 3 sec for other Units). The Minotaur has 1100 hp and a +15% Attackspeed aura.

The easiest medium camp are the Vagabonds. 2 Vagabonds and 2 Vagabond Assassins. Use your Elementals on 1 Vagabond. The Vagabond Assassins do only 5-8 dmg, but they can cast "Assassinīs Touch" on Heroes. Assassinīs Touch effect: 80% Movement Speed initially, decreases over 5 seconds.

Orange in blue circle = hard creepcamps
After a Patch couple of month ago are the "Birds" (Valture Lord + 2 Screachers) one of the easiest hard creepcamps. Just cast your Elementals to one of the Screachers and kill this stack (you cant cast Elementals to Valture Lord - he is immune to this).

The Skeleton King with his 2 Undead Warriors is easy to kill, too. Just cast your Elementals to one of the Undead Warriors (The Skeleton King is immune to this) and kill that creepcamp. Carefull: Skeleton King has an Attackrange of 500.

When you have a Minotaur and Goatar: look top on medium creepcamps

Vagabonds are in the hard creepcamps, too. There are 1 Vagabond, 1 Vagabond Assassin but 1 Vagabond Leader. The Vagabond Leader has a Ground Pound. Effect:
Deals 100 Magic damage up to 800 units away in a 200 radius cone. He cast this when 3 or more Units are infront of him.

Since a patch couple of month ago he is immune to the cast "Elemental". So you cast your Elementals on Vagabond. When you cast your Elementals, the Vagabond Leader will cast his Ground Pound to the Elementals. So be sure u are at this moment NOT behind the Elementals. You have to kill this camp fast - The Vagabond Leader has a +3 hp/sec aura.

The hardest creepcamp are the Catman Champion and the Catman Soldier. You cant cast Elementals on the Catman Champion, thats why you cast it on the Catman Soldier. But dont stay too close to the Catman Champion when you do that, because he cast "Wildstrike" in an 300 area around himself when 3 or more Units are in this area. Effect: Deals 150 Magic damage and slowing Attack- and Movementspeed for 3 seconds.

    Role of Tempest:

    Early Game:

In early game Tempest is a pure jungler. When u see an opportunity to help bot or mid lane on Legion OR top or mid lane on Hellbourn side, you should do that and cast a stun + harras. But your aim should be to rush Portal Key (its a must have item with Tempest). You should finish your boots, Ring of the Teacher and PK in under 15 min. Because you are a supporter, too - Dont forget to buy wards!
The advantage of 1 (good) jungler: you have 2 solo lanes who get (in normal case) better xp then a lane with 2 heroes. With a jungler the enemy is always scared of an unexpected gank.
The disadvantage of 1 jungler: If your 2nd solo lane Hero has 2 disabler as enemies, he could be harrased out of xp range and in worst case die several times. Thats why you have to gank as often as possible.

    Mid Game:

The Mid Game for Tempest starts when he has his PK. The role of Tempest in mid game is little different as in early game. Sure, he can farming in woods all game long. But the focus is now ganking or pushing instead of farming in woods. It depends how u wanna play him. Either way, you need min. 1 Homecoming Stone. And when your team has no other supporter - KEEP BUYING WARDS (!). If your Ultimate is ready, you should tell your team and planning a gank (how to behave read under description of PK). Thats why you need at least 1 Homecoming Stone - to be quickly on the needet lane. When your Ultimate is on cooldown you have 2 options:
You farm in the woods and let the 2nd solo lane Hero his farm (like in early game) or you push lanes and destroy enemies Tower. With activated Plated Greaves and your aura from Ring of the Teacher / Nomeīs Wisdom your friendly Units push the lane even better. As your Elementals are very slow, i recommend to use the Elemental spell on the enemy ranged creep. It save a little of the way to the next creepwave.
No matter how u decide to farm - Since you maxed your Glacial Balsts (3x Stun) you should make use of this high potential harrasment to enemy Heroes. Even without ulti you should help your team if they need your stun, Meteor or just helping to def.

    Late Game:

In lategame most Heroes have good hp. The more hp the enemies have, the more dmg does your Meteor. Especially NOW the PK - Meteor - Elemtental Void is a great combo (but use this combo only when you have practised it)! In lategame you still can farm in woods but in most cases your team need you to be around. Not only because of the Glacial Blasts (3x Stun), your Meteor does good dmg and is a good harrasment, too. With a ready Elemental Void you always should go for a gank (how to behave read under description of PK). Donīt forget you only have to assist Kills for your team - Killing other Heroes is only a minor bonus, but not the main aim of this hero. And i canīt mention it enough - BUY WARDS!

    Replay:

    Match 20335749

Followed time is always (about) replaytime - NOT gametime

10:20 helping bot lane - use ulti to save mate and kill both enemy Heroes.
14:25 No time to cast Meteor before Ulti.
18:30 Come out of shadow with a PK, cast Meteor and Ulti (Result: Quadkill)
23:25 Hide and jump at right moment in, use Meteor and catch all enemies in Ulti.
26:50 Even if you have the opportunity to catch all enemies with your Ulti - when no allied Heroes are there, DONT GO IN!
31:00 Hide and wait for the right moment to initiate. When you feel its right, just do it!

    Detailed comments:
2:30 Startitems: I was pretty sure they dont buy Wards to block the creepcamp.
4:55 Farming this creepcamp on the left side - when enemy Hero would come I have enough time to react.
8:15 Mana is totally empty. Go to Base now is more effective then using another Mana Potion. While going to base, let the Elementals to mid.
10:20 helping bot lane. First there is only one Hero: use Glacial Blasts - but then the 2nd Hero comes = time for using Ulti.
11:10 Switching Aura off to denie own creeps (and then - like always - stay left of this camp).
11:40 Switching Aura back to "all Units" to let the Elementals better tank.

    12:05 Helping bot again.
13:55 PK ready (in about 10 mins gametime).
14:20 bought TP to help bot lane. After TP bot and using PK, I instant use Ulti because they where falling back and when I casted Meteor, pretty sure flint would escape. The Glacial Blasts after the Ulti on flint was to abord his Ulti. The Meteor (centered behind him, if he want to fall back, he stay longer in the Meteor and get even more dmg) did more dmg to him.
17:00 On low hp you can go to base or stay in fight (risky!)
18:30 Come out of Shadow with PK, cast Meteor and Ultimate. (all where 5 seconds in Meteor = - 30% hp (in Magic dmg) on every enemy ONLY because of Meteor)
19:55 Helping allied Heroes can result in a dead, too. (Look at flint. He come with full hp in to fight. He ran through the Meteor and lost 158 hp (22%) PURE dmg only from Meteor)
23:20 While PK on cd counterwarding and destroy enemy wards. When PK ready jumping in, cast Meteor and catch all enemies with your Ulti.
24:00 Helping Voodoo. Cast Meteor for more dmg.
26:15 Ulti on Cooldown. Anyway jump in and cast Meteor to scare them and make some dmg.
26:50 Even if you have the opportunity to catch all enemies with your Ulti - when no allied Heroes are there, DONT GO IN!
27:45 When you know your team (or a part of it) is comming, initiate with PK, use Meteor and Ulti.
29:05 When your Ulti is on Cooldown - you can initiate, use stun and Meteor for good dmg.
31:00 Stay in PK range, hide and wait for the right moment to initiate. When you sure no disabler in range (Andromeda is counterwarding top ancients at this moment), just initiate.

    Core Items:

    500g
With Ring of the Teacher you and the friendly units arount you have + 0,65 manareg and + 3 armor aura. When you come gank and hide behind woods, your creeps get this aura from u and the enemy knows u are near.
Thats why u should switch the aura to "only Heroes" when u are going to gank.
But dont forget to switch back to "all Units" when u are back in woods for farming.

    2150g

With PK (Portal Key) Tempest is a great Ganker/Initiator. Farm in woods like hell to afford this item.
When I rush PK without buying boots, in ideal case PK is finished in under 10 mins.

Its important to hide from enemy sight. Just stay in shadow and wait for the right moment to use PK and your Ulti. Skilled Player can cast Meteor right before Ulti. (When enemy has Vindicater: Cast Ulti without Meteor). In best case you catch all 5 enemy Heroes. They know it and try to avoid staying close together. Thats why you should try to catch all Disablers. When u have Shrunken Head, just try to catch any hero, who can stun you through Shrunken Head (see list below this Item). And its NOT wasted, if u use the Ultimate for the enemy Carry - even when use your Ulti for him alone.

    OR
    800g
    -------------------------------- 1303g
Straiders are a cheap way to improve your Movementspeed. Plated Greaves helps a lot, when you want to push - especially when you play Tempest as pusher and max your elementals.

    3900g
Shrunken Head is a core item for Tempest. When you have your Shrunken, you should always use it before casting your Ultimate. I recommend to activate it right before go in with the PK. In this case no one can prevent you from casting Meteor and Ultimate.
    Can NOT block Ultis from , , , , , , ,
hook , Canonball and Flick , Electric Eye , grapple

(A special thanks to iStealSkillz for testing all Heroes)

    135g
Of course Tempest needs (like every Hero) a Homecoming Stone.

    100g
During the game you should buy wards. You are supporter and its up to YOU to have sight on the minimap!

    Situational Items:

    1950g
Tablet of Command is cheap, gives some mana and save lifes (!) - In my opinion its one of the best items for supporter, i just like it ^^

    2240g
Nomeīs Wisdom is the next item to buy. More mana, better regeneration and more Armor - just a great item.

    2700g / 3950g / 5200g
Puzzlebox can Reveal stealth units at LvL3.
Good against , , , , , , :WardOfSight:, :WardOfRevelation:, :AssassinShroud: and the invis Rune.
The Mauler and the Wizard do some dmg, so its kinda good combo with your Ulti, too.

    4850g
disable most spells like Ulti from .

    1500g
The only reason you should buy Void Talisman, is to avoid high physical dmg from enemies. When you activate this Item, you are immune to physical dmg - BUT have -5.5 Magic Armor at this time. Duration: 4 seconds.
It is NOT possible to activate Void Talisman and Shrunken Head at the same time.

    Luxury Items:

    4700g
Great for slowing enemy. When u activate this item right after your Ulti the enemy Heroes are slowed and stay longer in your Meteor

    5200g
Resets the cooldown of all abilities and items. But u need a lot of mana to use it. The reset cost 375 Mana +2x Ulti LvL 3 (800) + PK (75) = 1250 mana MINIMUM (!) When u use Meteor LvL 4 (140) + Elemental (170) and Glacias Blasts LVL 4 (160) to be more effective, you need 1720 Mana to use all this abilities (Mana costs for Puzzlebox and Frostfield plate not included). Make sure you have all the mana before buy this item.

    2700g
With post haste, Tempest can Port for pushing or defending lanes.

    4750g
Mock disable enemys PK. They cant escape or initiate with PK. And its a good combo with your Ulti and Glacial Blasts. But buy this item only when you have a good farm and allready bought everything you needed ^^

    5675g
Iīm not a fan of Sheepstick on Tempest because you allready have a (3x) stun. But in some situations u really need more disables -
and sheepstick is the best disable item in game.

    2306g
Astrolabe is rare on Tempest, but this heal is good for pushes. If you have a good farm and want fast pushes, this item can help you and your teammates.

    Thx for the Filler!

    Wasted Items:

    625g

Blood chalice was a good starting item for Tempest. Since version 2.0.9 Blood chalice has no healthregeneration anymore - thats why i do not recommend this item for Tempest anymore and moved it to wasted items.

    1375g
Ring of Sorcery has discuss potential for Tempest. But because of Tempest int gain per Level he has no manaprobs in late mid game. Thats why i would not recommend this item for him and put it on wasted items.

    3300g
Assassinīs Shroud give you the opportunity to go invis in the middle of the enemy and cast Ulti or when you cast Ulti you can go Invis while its channeling. But it is too easy to counter and the stats in this item Tempest realy dont need.

    5050g
when you finish Scrificial Stone, you have enough manareg - so no need for this item.

All other Items not mentioned yet are wasted Items for an obvious reason, i dont need to comment it

    6. Interaction with Heroes:

Tempest is a jungler. So he can be played with any Heroes in team. The best ally are heroes, who have some Area effected spells or does splash damage.

    Good allied INT Heroes:

    Bombardier:
All spells of Bombardier are a good combination with Tempest especially with Elemental Void. His Sticky Bomb does good dmg in a 300 radius, Boom Dust in a 250 radius. His Ulti is good while Elemental Void and after this he slows all enemy units hardly!

    Chipper:
His Ulti in combination with Elemental Void is very effective. When Elemental Void is gone, he can slow all enemies to make some more dmg.

    Defail0r:
    His
Wave of Death and espacially his Ulti is a good combo with your Elemental Void. After your Ultimate he can Silence all enemies.

    Glacius:
He is one of the best mates you can have in your team. His manareg aura is a huge help on the early-mid game. As Glacius only mission is to support the team, he (should) buy permanent :WardOfSight: and :WardOfRevelation:, so you can focus on the farm for your items. He can hold an enemy Hero or slow some enemies down - so they are longer in your Meteor. His Ulti is also a good combo with your Elemental Void.

    Nymphora:
Nymphora can give you mana what you rly need - especially in early-mid game. She has ae heal, what can dmg all enemies in range (good comobo with your Ulti). After your Ulti is gone, she can stun the enemies for more dmg from your Meteor. Her Teleportis good for some surprises, too.

    Plague Rider:
The main advantage of this hero is his ae spell. Slowed heroes are easier to catch in your Ulti. When you cast your Elemental Void, the Ulti from Plague Rider does good extra dmg!

    Pollywog Priest:
His Electric Jolt and especially his Ulti does good dmg while enemies are in your Elemental Void.

    Torturer:
With his Chains he can drag some enemy closer together and stun em all. When you cast your Ulti, he can use Impalement and his Ulti for more dmg.

    Vodoo Jester:
His Cursed Ground, casted right before or in the Elemental Void does very good dmg over time! In combination with Mojo and his Ulti its just lethal!

    Good allied STR Heroes:

    Behemoth:
With this hero in your team, you arenīt the #1 Initiator - Behemoth is! For a good reason: His Shockwave does the more dmg, the more enemy units are around (alive more dmg as corpses). (When there are no other creeps or corpses around, you can initate, too - but Behemoth is often the better initiator, because all other enemy Heroes would attack him after he initiate and come closer together - for a perfect usage of your PK and your Elemental Void). As his stun (for longer stun max his 3rd ability) has only 7 second cooldown, he can jump in the enemy units, use stun and his Shockwave. While all enemies are stuned (up to 1,5 seconds), you can jump in, use Meteor and Elemental Void. After your Ultimate is gone, he can use his fissure to block the escape way, and stun again (his cooldown is rdy again). There are many ways to play in a team with Behemoth. But in all cases: communicate with him - teamplay is espacially with this heroes very important!

    Gladiat0r:
His Ulti can be a good - for enemy surpriesed - initiation. It stun all enemy units in a 400 radius = you can catch them better in your Elemental Void. His lash does good true dmg in an 500 area. Also a good timed Pitfall can throw enemy units in the air and slow them - they are longer together and your team can use more ae dmg on them.

    :jera: Jereziah:
He can give you Protective Charm and you are immune against most magic spells and you can save the money for :ShrunkenHead: (But carefull - can be removed by
:NullfireBlade. Also his heal makes true dmg to all enemy Units within 250 range.

    Kraken:
Krakens Ulti has a good slow and a stun. When he use it right after your ulti, all enemies are longer together and get more dmg from your Meteor.

    Magmus:
His Ulti is good combo with your Elemental Void. So is his stun right after your Ulti very usefull for your team.

    Maliken:
With his Ulti he fear enemies and does AE dmg (even more with Enchanted Flames) , what a combo with your Elemental Void is. Right after your Ulti he can slow the enemies, so they are longer in your Meteor and your team can dmg them longer.

    Pharaoh:
After Elemental Void, Pharaoh can cast his mummies to hold enemies 6 more seconds close together. For the longer usage of other ae dmg...

    Good allied AGI Heroes:

    :fors: Forsaken Archer:
His ae hold help you with catch all enemies in your Elemental Void. When you cast it, FA can use her Ulti and do some extra ae dmg.

    Zephyr:
His Typhoon and his Cyclones make good dmg in your Elemental Void. When you donīt catch all important enemies in your Ulti, he can Gust some more in it.

    Engineer:
His Ulti does good dmg while enemy units are in your Elemental Void and slow+silence them when they want to escape after that. After Elemental Void his Turret slows enemy units so your mates can make even more dmg on them.

    Good allied ITEMS:

    aemonicBreastplate Daemonic Breastplate:
As this item gives +15 Attack speed to friendly units and -5 Armor to enemy units, its a good physical dmg burst (espacially good with Elemental Void).

    :FrostfieldPlate: Frostfield Plate:
After your Elemental Void all enemies in a range of 620 Units are slowed on activation.

    :Hellflower: Hellflower:
This item can silence one enemy hero, so he cant counter Elemental Void with any of his abilities.

    :KuldrasSheepstick: Kuldraīs Sheepstick:
It is always good to have a Sheepstick in your team ^^ Its a good disabler.

    :NomesWisdom: Nomeīs Wisdom:
This item gives you +armor, manareg and heal you for 25% of mana usage.

    :Mock: Mock of Brilliance:
This item does in a range of 650, 60 dmg/sec. and disable enemy PK. Its a good combo with your Elemental Void and Glacial Blasts.

    :RunedAxe: Runed Axe:
Every melee hero with a Runed Axe does splash dmg (40% in a radius of 225) = very effective with your Elemental void.

    :TabletOfCommand: Tablet of Command:
When you did not catch all enemies in your Ulti, a mate with this item can try push an enemy hero in your Elemental Void.

    Bad enemy Heroes:

    Bloodhunter:
His permanent silence is just annoing.

    Defail0r:
When he cast his Ulti, you should think twice, if you want initiate. Because his Ulti does mass dmg - even in your Elemental Void.

    Magebane:
As i am a support player - Magebane is always a pain in the ass! He burn your Mana all the time (what especially on Tempest is really needet).

    Plague Rider:
When he stay away and you do not catch him in your Elemental Void, he can cast his Ulti in and you and your allied units take mass dmg.

    Pollywog Priest:
His Ulti does good dmg to allied heroes even in Elemental Void.

    Sand Wraith:
Not only his Ulti disable your PK, his 3rd Skill
disables it in a range of 700, too.

    Vindicator:
His Ulti can be such a pain in the ass - but you can block it with a Null Stone :Nullstone:. This Null Stone canīt block his 3rd Skill- so u can not just port in, use Meteor and Elemental Void.

All other Heroes, who can abord your Elemental Void through the Shrunken Head (Listed in the description of Shrunken Head)

    Bad enemy Items:

    :Mock: Mock of Brilliance:
This item disable in a range of 650 your PK. This item works in your Elemental Void - dont forget this!

    :Hellflower: Hellflower:
When you are under effect of Hellflower, you cant use your spells or items. The enemy will probably initiate and try to kill you before you can use any spells or items for escape.

    :TabletOfCommand: Tablet of Command:
As i said - i rly like this item! A smart enemy supporter can wait outside the fight and wait for you to initiate. When you cast Elemental Void, he just use Tablet of Command to rescue one hero out of it. The only think you can do: hope it is not a carry who can kill you in 3 hits
    .

As Shrunken Head is a core item you should not be scared of more enemy items, because :ShrunkenHead: can block all other "dangerous" items.

So Tempest is a ganker/initiator/pusher and supporter. With good Ultimates he can win whole games.

ThX to iStealSkillz for helping me with this Guide(!)

    Skill build:

    LvL 1 = Elemental (1)
    LvL 2 = Glacias Blasts (1)
    LvL 3 = Elemental (2)
    LvL 4 = Glacias Blasts (2)
    LvL 5 = Glacias Blasts (3)
    LvL 6 = Elemental Void (1)
    LvL 7 = Glacias Blasts (4)
    LvL 8 = Meteor (1)
    LvL 9 = Meteor (2)
    LvL 10 = Meteor (3)
    LvL 11 = Elemental Void (2)
    LvL 12 = Meteor (4)
    LvL 13 = Stats (1)
    LvL 14 = Stats (2)
    LvL 15 = Stats (3)
    LvL 16 = Elemental Void (3)
    LvL 17 = Stats (4)
    .
    .
    .
So you level your Elemental Skill to Lvl 2 and leave them there until Character Lvl. 24/25?
Also I'm quite sure that it's not possible to both level Glacial Blast at Character Levels 4 and 5.

Items are okay, yet I miss the division in situational and luxury items.
Nullstone and Sheepstick may also be viable situational pickups.
Despite that, in my opinion it's more useful to get PK before boots - simply for the reason of being able to leave the woods earlier to gank with your team.

What about the time when your ult's on cooldown? And what about the time when your ultimate just wore off and the teamfight/gank isn't over yet?

IMO this guide still needs quite a bit of work, yet the basis is created very commonly.

Edit: Going back to base to shop? Why, when you have a courier that can ferry these items to you? Going back to base costs you at least 45-60 seconds of wich equals about 2-3 creepcamps of farm.

u can lvl Glacial Blast at 4 and 5 (when its only lvl1 since then)
getting elementals lvl2 is normally enough to jungle if u micro them correctly like he was telling earlier
however if u try going for early pushes after ganking a lane u should at least got 1 more point into them or even max them out, the lvl4 Elementals do up to 51 dmg (i think 20/25 more then on lvl2) with 6 of them u get a nice dps onto a tower or even comboed with an ult on a hero

i also mentioned to him that going to base isnt neccesary if u have a chicken but if you are not getting bottle to get your mana constantly up u would need alot of mana potions and that wont help getting an early pk

what i miss is the hero roles (early/mid/late)
get pk, gank a lane, push it, farm woods/gank another lane (even without ult) and so on

but its his first guide, mby he will edit some more stuff

Added some items in situational, luxury and wasted items. Addet some text (explained why on this point its better to go to base...)

The hero role of tempest is always the same: Ganker/Initiator (Pusher) Supporter

If u want something to add or want some changes - just tell me ^^

I feel like leaving elementals at 2 until 24-25 is not the most ideal build. Temp's elementals can potentially do as much damage as Polly's wards at higher levels, and having them assist in ganks is a huge boost in damage in the long run. And it helps with jungling!

You don't know enough about tempest yet to make a guide about him. Please come back after you are more experienced.

  8. #8
i need to protect him right here because i played alot with him and his tempest is pretty good in most games. and its his first guide so dont be so hard

elementals on a higher lvl are good when u are going for early pushes and also helps ganking the lane having it up when ult is off cd

I think it's missing the blood chalize. Its a very good item for farming the jungle, and you can start of with the +int / +str item in the beginning, and get courier / 1 ward. If you notice a creep spawn blocked, you can just farm the other spawns in the meantime, and get a revelation ward delivered by the monkey with the gold you made in the meantime. Also I think that the shrunken head is a LOT more important than the restoration stone, not the other way around.

  10. #10
true, restoration is late late item and luxury
its better to get one good ult off with shrunken then having 2 while u can get disabled

shrunken head is core item for sure!

chalice is an option but not a must have since u also can buy a bottle and get the bot rune if it spawns there. but this should only be the case when mid isnt paying that much attention on picking them up on his own

Its true, i totally forgot about Blood Chalice - ThX theGrinGer

Iīm a support player and Tempest is one of my favorites. I cant tell you how often i played him, but surely enough to make a guide.

I never played Tempest on bottle because 1. mostly runes are needet by the mid hero 2. the monkey is often in use - rushing between u and base = blocked for other Players.

  12. #12
at least it starts to look good and its getting more detailed

    keep it up!

im still missing a the hero role thing early/mid/late and "behaviour rules"
like i.e. if ur ult is up dont stupidly go in a group of anemies with no support and dps around..
no matter how good the ult is if no allies are around its a waste

    or sth like that

hope u still have enough space for that since u havent reserved the 2nd post :P

Sorry, this isnīt a guide to show how you can carry with a supporter. This is a guide to how to play a supporter (+ganker/initiator/pusher) and how to farm with him. Because you have to let all the creeps (and Herokills) to the carry, you need some farm to buy your own items or even buy wards. In this guide you learn among other things, how to farm in woods...

But this guide is not finished yet. I do work on it every day (change some text, adding new stuff ...). And yes, its my first guide... so if someone miss something in this guide, just tell me ^^

Ok, NOW i reach the limit of characters. I had to shorten it a little bit. But as it is my first Guide, i didnīt reserve 2nd and 3rd posts...
Overall i think this Guide is nearly finished - not to say he is finished.

If you think i should something add - a little space for some changes are still available.

I like getting level 2 glacial and maxing elemental first, people underestimate how much damage the elementals do, you can easily solo gank a hero with just level 2 glacial and level 4 elementals, even 2 heroes if you pop your ult.

Any new replays? The one in the guide cannot be downloaded

    Tablet of Command:
As i said - i rly like this item! A smart enemy supporter can wait outside the fight and wait for you to initiate. When you cast Elemental Void, he just use Tablet of Command to rescue one hero out of it. The only think you can do: hope it is not a carry who can kill you in 3 hits.

wait what, waste your tablet on a carry when you can just get tempest to stop channeling ulti.

@Qvazar: Thx! I uploaded the replay and added a link for the download

@Theburned: Yeah, I understand you. Tablet of Command do not go through Shrunken Head. And Shrunken is a core item and you should activate it always when you cast ulti. So not a problem for Tempest But if you dont have your Shrunken, it rly is a problem ^^
