No, I don't see a reason why.
As the title says, items should be completed even if you don't have enough space for all the components.
This prevents you from wasting your time with arranging your items between stash&hero in the well, improves the buy all components system (you don't get some components in the stash when your inventory is full) and you don't have the problem with the courier flying back with half of your item.
This is already possible in lol and sotis, the dota"port" in sc2.
I don't see a reason why this shouldn't get implemented

But I doubt S2 hasn't thought of this already.
Yeah, I agree it's pretty dumb that if I have 5 slots full, 1 empty.. and buy a bracer (buy all components), I have to move the crushing claws to my inventory to make the bracer, and then move the bracer back to my item slot
it takes all of about a half second, but it's pretty annoying given you hit the "buy all" so clearly you want that item.. and not all of its parts by themselves.

Also, I'm tired of delivering items to myself and the following happens:
1. Instead of getting the items I want from the courier, I get a set of wards.
2. I put the wards on the groud, re-deliver the courier, and I get a set of wards of revelation.
3. I put the revelation wards on the ground and have to re-arrange my items to combine the complete item.
SO ANNOYING

Yea, this should be done. It's just tedious having to move around items back and forth and having to do so adds nothing beneficial to the actual gameplay.
