Unfortunately the problem is that aside from you, myself, Zajoman, HawkeyeBR, and Disco_Bison, nobody communicates/responds. I still haven't been able to close that original poll because of a lack of participation from our crew (I sent out group messages and the like). I'm hoping to teach myself how to work with blender over the summer, but I don't know if that's going to happen. I've tried getting a few people who can work on models, but all of them have turned me down. I'd be more than happy to mess with some effects. I'm not yet fluent with them, but I'd like to try and learn how to deal with them better.

Well, I study Digital Arts, but I'm still learning, and my 3D lessons will probably start next year. After that I can help with the models, but it will take a while. I have a friend that's realy good at modeling and texturing, he even did a wonderful job on this year Dominance War 5. I will talk to him, he might help. His nick on HoN is Echronos.

I can tinker with some effects, no prob, its pretty easy stuff for the most part, it's just that I find the actual HoN game to be very uninspired and tedious at this point so there isn't all that much motivation involved anymore.
However if someone has thought of some effect they want to see, just describe it in detail (MS paint pictures help too) and I can see what I can do, just don't expect any immediate results.
EDIT:
Also, just DL'd the hero pack, you don't need to include .mdf files and all that junk if you don't have custom models/textures/sounds etc.
You can refer to pre-existing material in the entity files, like for example model="/heroes/hero_name/model.mdf"
Just a tip so the .rar doesn't get needlessly bloated.

The stringtables don't seem to work. There are a few cases where ability names are displayed but there are no descriptions on any of these.
What am I doing wrong? Threw the stringtables into 'game' folder.

No I checked the actual file and there are skill descriptions for all heroes there but it just doesn't work.
I'd be more than happy to help voice the videos/teasers/trailers.

I mess with Blender a lot in my spare time, if you would like, i could try and model some of the heroes if given something to work with, be warned, i am far from the best.
