Yes! make way for the new!
No! inactive clans contribute to the community too!
my clan expanded to HoN about 6 months ago. the clan system on this game is great, but it appears there is no way for inactive clans to be removed. my clan is a multi gaming clan that has been active for 4 years, but we had to tack an x onto our tag because our normal tag is taken by an inactive clan. of its 15 members, 13 of them havn't logged on in over 200 days (the leader being 233 days), and 1 in 53 days. it only has one active member which i have been trying to contact over the last couple months.
there needs to be a method for judging clan activity, and a way for active, legitimate clans to recover clan names/tags from obsolete clans.
an example of this would be on Warcraft III (the game DotA is from)
"What is clan upkeep?
Clan upkeep is simply the activity requirement that Battle.net imposes on clans. Battle.net will automatically disband clans it considers to be inactive. To be considered an active clan and prevent the clan from being deleted for inactivity, the chieftain must log in at least once every 28 days. In addition, at least 10 clan members (including the chieftain) must log in once every 28 days."
it would be nice to see S2 do something about inactive clans soon
