I just recently learned how you can chuck someone to yourself as Pebbles. I realised how deadly this can be with certain teleport mechanics. This means, if you have some sort of non-disjointing teleport at work with Pebbles, the target you chuck to yourself follows you to wherever you teleported.
I've decided to compile a list of this that can work with this mechanic.
Chuck to yourself while these events happen:
Showdown
- Grimms Crossing Teleporters
- :TabletOfCommand: use on yourself
Chuck to another target while these events happen:
- Target of
Showdown
- Someone taking the Grimms Crossing teleporters
using his jump
leap
- Whoever a :TabletOfCommand: is used on
If you have anything to add, like a confirmation or another mechanic, post below!
Predators leap can also be used to follow targets of the second list.
*Note* Some of these, like the tablet of command ones, can be used to save allies, by chucking them to yourself and tablet up a cliff. Be sure to always be thinking about how you can make the best plays!
Special thanks to the LNTC clan, their video showed me the gladiator/pebbles combo and got me thinking of different ways it could be exploited!

can i ask what is "grimms crossing teleporters?" because i seriously dont have an idea?![]()
On the new 3v3 map, Grimms Crossing, there are two teleporters in the middle; the two huge statues on either side of the rune. Right click on one, and you will be sent to the other.
Through some testing, tablet of command is my new favorite item on Pebbles, right after Portal Key of course.

Yeah, I'm currently going through every hero with some displacement spell to see if a chucked target follows them. A lot of my prime candidates aren't working, but a few good ones are, like tablet and pred leap, adds some nice synergy. I gotta try this in a game later today.
Actually <disjoint is deadly too

Off topic: Shouldnt this be in mechanics? And can somebody please explain to me the difference between these two..? >.>
It's a strategy that can be used with Pebbles Chuck, so I assumed posting this in the strategy section would be good. And between the two lists? On the first list, if you use chuck and click yourself, and one of those things in the list happens to you, the target you chucked will follow you. However, the second list is where you have to chuck to a different target other than yourself, such as predator or dampeer.
Does Homecoming stone disjoint or unbind? I can't find that it does in the game files, but it doesn't work the way I hoped with chuck. I assumed it follows the person using the stone, but it doesn't.
So what's the practical application for this? Are you basically undoing whatever causes people to move, by chucking them back to yourself immediately after whatever moves them occurs? I dont really understand how tablet helps you in a game.
Nvm got it now. I still don't see this being all that lethal except periodically forcing someone to tower dive or whatever. But im not that great at hon so yeah.

It only disjoints.
Attaching something to a projectile automatically breaks channeling anyway, so it doesn't matter if it unbinds or not.

if pandas cannonball works..........chuck enemy hero on panda while cannonballing and they will get stunned. O.o
Doesn't have to be lethal to be good. Can save a friend or force two people up a cliff.
Lets say you want someone attacking you to go up the cliff to your base, where your allies are waiting. Chuck the enemy to yourself while you tablet yourself up the cliff wall, and the enemy will be up the cliff wall, as well as you, and no matter what direction he faces that's what will happen. It's different from just chucking him up there, as it puts you up there too without having to use portal key.
Simply just adds to his utility.

4:45 is one example of the gladiator/pebbles chuck and showdown combo. 7:20 is another example.
haha have to try that out some time.
I would try explain it but I'm not that great at explaining things
Someone else can.
Fair enough.
Leetard:
Basically, according to my understanding, you chuck someone to yourself, and as the animation is occurring you change your position. This is done through the means that were posted by the TS, tablet being the easiest to perform since you do it to yourself.
So the person is within the chuck range (of people to throw), you chuck them at yourself, and then you move yourself to another position. They follow you, assuming that you got the timing right, and also wind up at the new position.
For example either what the TS said in response to me in that quote up there, or if Gladiator showdowns you and then, as the showdown goes off, you chuck someone at yourself. That person then also gets taken back to where showdown was cast.
