I am new at HoN and I came from LoL. Do you have any tips for how I should be playing this. Since this game seems to favor ganks and killing rather than pushing. I stayed in lane until level 9-10 which I usually do in LoL and got destroyed here.
1. Know how to join the right game.
Search games with titles such as (> 1.0 KDR) Therefore, you know what you're up against.
2. Know how to ask for help.
Asking for help may seem a bit daunting, but players are often happy to help you.
3. Stick with your team.
Unless you know what you're doing, always stick with at least one person.
1. I join noobs only and new players only games
2. When I ask for help, they all say GG we got a noob even though the game is called noobs only

I could help you learn some, teach you some skillbuilds, starting items and how the play the game properly. Im not saying im the best, but atleast average. Add me ingame if u want to.
play matchmaking when u get hang of a game
avoid agi heroes, play int/str easy heroes [plague rider witch slayer behemoth electrician]
exception for carries is swiftblade since hes extremely easy and noobfriendly hero, still not recommended
buy wards
dont ks
listen to your team, theres prolly gonna be a guy in team stepping up for a leader position, just do what he says and if they go mad ask what u did wrong
