I've played quit a bit of legionnaire lately and have a very strong suspicion that range on legionnaire's taunt doesn't work properly when chasing someone.
I first thought it might just be the result of lag interpolation, but on a number of occasions I'll even be able to contact with my auto-attack while chasing and the taunt still won't land.
When standing still, I can taunt creeps who aren't anywhere near auto-attack range.
This problem may be specific to charge, since I'm almost always charging when chasing someone as legion.
I don't know how to do a more thorough test of this, but like I say...
Taunt has a long cast time. Most heroes can run away from it if you're chasing them.
Taunt has 0.3 seconds cast action time, average move speed of 360 means they move 108 units. Now that means they have to be within ~200 units of you when you click.
200 units is very small, you'll need to give a match id and time stamp showing it.
