Sudden Disconnect

I have no idea what happened. Cant download the replay atm since game just ended. During early laning, before 10m at the top lane, I see a blue flash where kraken was, and he was disconnected and simultaneously booted from game. Im wondering, was he banned midgame or something? Because i can think of no other reason why someone would suddenly be disconnected AND terminated from game.
