I believe Starcraft has this feature (I'm not a fan of the game, so I'm not sure, but I've heard it from friends).
Here's an example: I move the camera to the desired spot (e.g. one of the rune spots). I proceed to hit the "save view" button (e.g. ctrl+F2). If I ever want to check that rune spot in the future without having to click the minimap or scroll the camera there, all I would have to do is hit the "recall view" button (e.g. F2). Obviously it has more uses than just checking rune spots, like checking a certain lane or some ward you/your team has placed.
I would believe that one argument against this being implemented is that being an avid minimap clicker is part of what being a skilled HoN player is.
What's your standpoint? Would you like it? Why/why not?
C & C Zero Hour had this. GLA stealth general's worst nightmare, just have the temp invisible building in the middle of the screen and save view. Then You always know where it was exactly. OR when you see a important building being contructed save view and bombard that exact spot much later on in fog.
