Is it me or is this item completly useless?

Could someone give me some numbers that show why 25% of mana cost is worth it as a heal?

My math got me no further than a meagre 25 heal per spell cast, which is completly balls seeing most heroes do 4x as much per auto attack.

Why would you get this?

Pyro's ult lvl 3 is 680 mana. That's 170 healed right there, with just one spell.

That's... That's... over NINE THOUSA...sorry over 6 times as much as your 25 per spell max.

Chipper Combo at lvl16 (Tar, 3 Rockets, Ult) costs 570 Mana; 143 HP healed. And that Combo doesn't cost much.
But yes, the item is pretty bad right now. But this has no place in mechanics - go to Balance to cry.

Nomes used to be one the best items in the game, before it got hit by the nerf battering ram.

Now it is pretty much a waste of an inventory slot compared to most other items.

But yeah, at one point it was an essential part of most int heroes builds due to it providing awesome mana regen, stats, armor, damage, and a bonus heal aura.

The mana regen got nerfed majorly, making the item redundant for many people, as there are better items to fulfil the roles (bracer for stats, sustainer for regen, astrolabe for heal)

The mana regen nerf is the only reason kiddies don't use this item anymore.

Including a manatube in its recipe, even as an extra item, would probably make this item semi-viable again.

well this item is clearly useless because it's called "nome"'s wisdom.. S2 decided to make it worthless because they used nome in the name.
