I think that thing is called Director or something. Where your videos can be extended. The application really is a simple process. Plus the partnerships & ad revenues, and the extended benefit of randoms finding the game.

    P.S. Fileplay. Really. lul.

I didn'T notice any major change in the quality/lag of the streams. Might not be as great as it was, but it's still good enough.

The big problem is the lack of friendly interface. As another guy suggested, they should use the same old honcast website with links to fileplay or something. Their search engine is just horrid.

I don't have any lag issues with Fileplay.net, and I don't even have spectacular internet in my new townhouse. In fact, I've never even had a video on Fileplay buffer, besides the very beginning.

I haven't really looked around Fileplay.net much, so I don't know if they have a separate HoN or HoNCast section, so I sometime have trouble finding videos. Usually I just go to latest videos and watch whatever interests me.

The old HoNCast was nice because it was all organized together, so if it all gets put together on Fileplay (maybe it already is an I'm just an idiot), I won't have a preference either way.

This. The Fileplay site is utter trash.
Videos are difficult to find, the search system is arcane, the quality is poor and it looks more like a bunch of adds that happen to have some HoN videos near them (even with adblock).

I fail to see why YouTube is not the far and away best option. There are far larger organisations then Honcast that successfully use YouTube for all of their video hosting.

At the very least you could upload to both Fileplay and YouTube then see where the viewers gravitate to.

i think the one problem with partnerships and ad revenues is there is no money short term. You have to prove via subscriptions that you can maintain XXX subscribers then you get partnership then ad revenue etc. IF things are that dire at honcast then i guess they had to move fast...

Youtube is best imo but w/e lets see what they can do,

im in the UK with 100mbit fibre (free trial ) so i cant complain at all but i feel for all the non UK with problems.

So, where did u get those informations from? Some links? Statement Breaky?

And even if that what u say is true, there would much better ways to do it.
MegaLoad, Youtube, Dl on Rapidshare, what ever, but hosting on a unreachable and laggy **** hoster is in my opinion the wrong one...

I voted for "i hate it"....

The keyword there would be "video."

Welcome to the internets.. enjoy your stay.

might wanna look around abit before you start spammig threads with your semi useless insight.

Been here for 15 years or so, if it's semi-useless that'd also make it semi-useful, and I'm fine with that. Or you could elaborate on your spam about my spam.

    Toodledoo.

What was wrong with his statement? There was perhaps a little exaggeration but compared to Fileplay his assessment of YouTube is pretty well spot-on.

I chose don't watch it anymore. I think I've watched 3 since it's been out, rather than 3 a day...
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night

Bump, but this is big lol, there is NOTHING to watch anymore maybe add option in poll?

Im going crazy btw, addicted to honcast, who would have thought that.. Ow, btw, happy new year!!

I would have to say that I am new to both HoN and HoNcasts (I started playin maybe 3 months ago, and never played DotA) but I love the HoNcasts on filereplay or whatever the site is. I haven't experienced buffering or quality issues aside from the one's that I have to deal with because of my shitty ISP anyways. But the announcer guy is ****in hilarious and its just cool gettin to see some of the best players play and see what their strats/item and level builds/etc are like. As for the suggestion to move to youtube like some have mentioned, I just hate youtube personally for some reason and I would hate to have it ported there entirely. I feel like having it somewhere else gives it a lil extra flavor lol

new honcast is fine, just the live stream icon is a bit too hidden for my taste

& no casts recently kinda ruin it, not the average servers

    MOAR CASTS GOGOGOGOOG

    I HATE IT!

Yeah it sucks, honcast went from 4th most visited to being pushed off the top 10

Got no idea, I regularly watch videos in 720+ on youtube without any issue at all and the quality, especially on the 1000 something is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

Also, youtube "community" is by far the biggest in the video world and with that many people you get more interested in to hon by watching casts = more people buy the game = more monies for everyone.

IT IS ALSO FREE, and you get money from it if you're popular enough...I don't really see how can they ignore it.
