    Totalbiscuit on honcast

As posted in the wrong section I decided to put it here.

totalbiscuit is a well known WoW/Sc2 shoutcaster, he's great at what he does, I love watching him, bringing him in on honcast would be absolute.

Would it at all be possible?

His channel on youtube if you want to check him out.

He hates hon. Had a long discussion about Hon and LoL with him on Twitter. He pretty much despises the Hon community for being Elitist (i know its funny because he is the same in WoW but meh )
So it wont happen i am sorry he is a LoL fanboy.

He claimed there are more skillshots and LoL and got very rude when i stated there is a lot more to these kind of games than skillshots. Pretty much flamed me for thinking Hon requires more skill, apperantly i am an elitist Hon Fanboy.
Meh... I really like his WoW podcasts but never discuss with him, he is very far away from being a reasonable conversation partner.
He must really hate the Hon Community, maybe he got flamed a little too often and his not so small ego couldnt take it. So he went somewhere else.

Biscuit was indeed one of our scheduled casters when we were attempting to launch starcraftcast. Unfortunately, it never got off the ground.

Ya what phil said pretty much. I actually talk to totalbiscuit every now and then and I agree he is a very good caster. But he currently does work for The Game Station or whatever on youtube as well as his own youtube channel of course and I do not think he is interested either in doing HoN casts.

Just felt the need to stop by to correct this misinformation. Dunno who this guy actually is but hey.

So I worked closely with S2 for a couple of years during the Savage 2 days, was also involved very early on with HoN before it even entered alpha with little bits of design discussion, I've been following the game for ages, I just don't play it. Why? Mostly lack of time. It's a game with a large learning curve and these days that's out of the question to start afresh. Never bothered playing it after the beta was over.

As regards to 'really hating the HoN community' I dunno where that came from. Twitter isn't a conversation, it's a set of short messages and it seems this guy has taken stuff said waaaaay out of proportion. The HoN community is elitist, just like any other DoTA-clone community is. That's the nature of the game, it's very core mechanics and systems breed elitism and hostility. How could you not feel dislike, bordering on rage when a team-mate feeds gold and experience to the enemy? The HoN community has a bad rep, but no worse than the LoL or DoTA community. That rep is deserved for the most part, that's just the nature of the game we play and the people that play it. Cut past all the rage and you find some reasonable people who are passionate about their chosen game.

And therein lies the problem, some people, this guy included no doubt, are so passionate they feel the need to evangelise. I swear, whenever I mention LoL in any capacity I get descended upon by the gaming equivalent of Jehovah's Witnesses, demanding to know why I play this 'inferior game' and don't play HoN. It's really quite annoying after a while. How about we just concern ourselves with our own choice of games and not what other people are playing? There's a number of things I like about League of Legends and I don't really have any desire to learn a whole new set of heroes and items. Plus there are various things within HoN that the LoL devs removed and I happen to agree with their decisions in that regard. So crucify me?

But yeah, I don't play HoN, don't really have any intention of playing HoN. Certainly don't hate HoN, hell I have friends in S2, I was contracted to do most of their tutorial work for Savage 2 as you might be aware and my missus voice-acts 2 of the HoN heroes, so why would I have any reason to hate the game or the guys playing it? It's a ridiculous accusation with no basis in fact. As for being flamed by the HoN community, look at my postcount. I've never been involved in it to begin with. Leave the casting to the pros. Why do you need me when you have Breaky anyway? He's one of the best casters I've ever heard.

When The Game Station were looking for games/people (and the likes) for their channel I suggested HoN and Honcast as a possibility, simply because I like HoN and I'd like to get it spread out through something like The Game Station. Did they ever approach you, and would you concider doing something with them if they had? Figure you might not be too keen about it, as you're operating on your own site and not youtube, but why not try

OMG how dare he says hes not a fan of some aspects of the game!!!!!!!!11111

On the real though, there is no reason to have someone even attempt to cast a game in which they have little interest in in the first place as it will severly hurt the cast as a whole. I am pretty sure biscuit would agree with me when I say being passionate about casting is what makes most of it and without that attribute you are better off not even doing it. Really the same thing for a lot things in life I guess, if you are not fully invested into it, it will really show in the final product.

On the note about The Game Station on Youtube, I had been in touch with them from the very beginning and is partial reason why I have uploaded some matches on youtube in the first place. But haven't really gotten much out of it and life just kind of moved on, I am not going to make a big deal of it really. I may bring it up again and see if anything happens, but whatever.

Props to you TB, takes an extra something to come and reply to a thread in a sub forum of a forum about something you're not fully interested in.

Well i might have overdone it a bit and i apologize. Still the shortmessages werent all too pleasant to say the least. I never said everybody needs to play hon or love hon. But you failed to accept MY opinion that Hon is, again IN MY OPINION, the superior game. You dont like it and that is fine.
Again keep up the good work in your podcast, they are very enjoyable. I just posted it because your rudeness (i am sorry but the messages were just flaming me for being elitist and a fanboy, just because I wrote If you want a challange you should try Hon, at that point i didnt know you even played the game before) was kinda unexpected and out of place.
    Anyway cheers!
Btw. I agree Breaky does a great job.

Well thanks a lot for your reply TB, didn't expect that at all on here, too bad it won't happen, would be cool to see some TB & Breaky action, keep up your good work with your current casts, they're awesome.

Disgusted to see that some people here treat LoL players the same as DotA ones treat us, especially when some of us do everything we can to make that nonsense stop.

Play whatever you want, don't flame people that play something else.
