So we have Hag and Magebane, we don't have a Strength blinker!
I don't want to flesh out a hero concept right now, so this is more of a placeholder / reminder to self. Magebane is a stereotypical Agi carry, Hag is a stereotypical Int nuker, so this hero will be a stereotypical Str initiator / tank.
A golem with control of sound. Appearance will resemble The Fallen from Transformers 2, who coincidentally also attacks with energy waves while teleporting around.
Theme: Sound waves (first skill will be moving at the speed of sound, second skill will be a destructive soundwave, third skill will be an ultrasonic aura that structurally weakens armor, and fourth skill turns the Sonolith up to 11.
First skill: Blink
Max range of only 800, but costs 40 / 30 / 20 / 10 mana as opposed to 60 at all levels. Cooldown is 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 (a little less mobile)
Second skill: Sonic Boom
Mana cost: 85 / 95 / 105 / 115
AoE: 315 (same as Minotaur stomp)
Upon use, the [Hero] starts building energy. Upon second use, the hero releases this damage in a small AoE. If the [Hero] builds up too much energy, he will overload, damaging himself.
Effect: Builds 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 Physical damage per half second for up to 4 seconds of charge. Upon release, deals up to 120 / 160 / 200 / 240 Physical damage to targets in AoE, and applies 1 charge of stacking [Debuff], 2 if fully charged. Charge can be held for 1.5 extra seconds before overload, which deals all the damage to [Hero] and applies one stack of [Debuff], stunning self for 0.5 seconds. Debuff lasts 10 seconds, refreshes on stack.
Debuff: First stack gives -1 / -1.5 / -2 / -2.5 armor, and each subsequent stack grants -0.5 armor. Debuff lasts 10 seconds.
Third skill: Ultrasound Shell
Gives self +2 / +4 / +6 / +8 armor, has an aura with 315 radius that gives -20% / -40% / -60% / -80% armor to enemies (combination of Dragon Knight's Dragon Blood and Tauren Chieftain's Natural Order)
Effect: +40 / 50 / 60 movement speed, +300 / 600 / 900 HP, +25 / 50 / 75 HP regen. All cooldowns -1 / -2 / -3.
Role: Pure Strength nuker that's highly mobile; no disables.
Changelog 1: Remove slow from Sonic Boom, manacost +15 at all levels. Removed debuff canceling from third skill as the main use was to remove self-debuffing; in return, raised Aura from 350 to 400. Specified "damage reflect" in ultimate -- that implies damage block, which the ultimate does not do.
Changelog 2: Blink made less mana intensive, passive range changed to match second skill, Ultimate heavily nerfed (removed damage reflect, AoE buff)
Changelog 3: +1 second to Blink at all levels, +2 seconds to second skill, nerfed 2nd skills damage from 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 to 15 / 20 / 25 / 30, ult now reduces cooldowns when active.
I feel the second skill is fine in the lane... I mean, in terms of damage it is Sonar Scream with less damage, less range, more cast time, and a slow. I'll flesh it out a little bit though.
And as for the third skill, it's not really 3 in 1; it's more like 1.5 in one. If it were 3 in 1 it would be +2 / +4 / +6 / +8 armor and HP regen, -20% / -40% / -60% / -80% armor AND magic armor, and debuffing while lowering ALL damage taken by 7 / 14 / 21 / 28. +armor alone is just a terrible skill, as seen from old Sven, and I feel if it didn't have the -armor, people would only get 1 level and then take Stats over it... I would, easily.
For the ultimate, the skill is already a weaker version of Alchemist's Chemical Rage; I don't want to nerf it further. Mana regen is kind of stupid, though; I removed that and added HP regen.
I think that would be an easy killer in a lane, too tank in every part of the game and still able to chase and stop enemies... You can't run from it, can't fight it, can't suck his mana.... his ultimate ON is just a GOD. i can imagine the destruction... +900 hp? thats a free behe heart! +60 movespeed = null all slows! +60 hp regen = can only be killed if focused by 4 players and 1 of them must be soul reaper!... The skills doesnt need to make him tank so much, the items will do the job. If he doesnt nerf, may build a hard carry on items and easily tank more then keeper of the forest without a single iron buckler.
The role I have in mind for him is actually a lot like Alchemist's -- early game ganker, late game backup carry. I mean, Alchemist is just as fast, has a 4 second stun, +1050 HP, 60 HP regen and 12 MP regen. It's not as strong an ult as you make it out to be -- it doesn't directly give any offensive power at all. If you compare it to Dragon Knight's ultimate -- giving range, +movement speed, and 30% SPLASH SLOW with pretty much 50% uptime -- I'd argue that's a way better transformational ultimate.
His stats are also going to be similar to Alchemists's -- very good starting stats with below average growths, and low Agility.
