The Landshark summons his infinitely awesome brethren to assist him in devouring his enemies. His enemies include but are not limited to anything that is not a landshark.

Activation
Upon cast, a landshark bursts out of the ground in a 450 AoE line dealing 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 damage, then sinks back into the ground. The shark takes 1 second to travel across the ground.

I feel that this skill is very self-explanatory in terms of visuals.

Landslide

The Landshark causes the earth in a 325 / 400 / 475 / 550 circle to roil, throwing all hostile non-Landsharks towards the center and dealing 50 / 100 / 150 / 200 damage.

Mana Cost: 80 / 90 / 100 / 110
Cooldown: 16 seconds
Activation
Pulls enemy units in AoE to the center.
Visual
The earth pushes enemies towards the center.

Pile Driver

The Landshark drills through the ground quickly, throwing up debris and causing minor earthquakes the damages and slows hostile non-Landsharks.
Type: Target Self
Mana Cost: 75
Cooldown: 15 seconds
Activation
Applies Pile Driver to self.
Pile Driver: Lasts for 3.5 / 4 / 4.5 / 5 seconds, +200 bonus movement speed and deals 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 DPS as well as slowing by 8% / 16% / 24% / 32% in a 300 AoE around self.
Visual
The Landshark burrows partially in the ground, and whenever he moves dirt flies up.

The Landshark burrows deep underground, slowly tunneling through the earth. At any time, he can burst through the ground for a massive attack.
Type: Target Self
Mana Cost: 100
Cast Time: 2 seconds
Activation
Tunnels deep underground indefinitely, becoming invisible and getting slowed by 30% / 25% / 20%. When underground, the Landshark gains zero collision and can walk on and through any terrain, and the skill is replaced by Ravage! While underground, the Landshark can use items and cast his skills without revealing himself, but each item and skill has a 1 second casting time. When revealed by dust / wards / eye, the Landshark simply appears as one fin above the ground. You may cancel the skill with a fifth subskill ("Abort! Abort!") which puts the skill on cooldown (see below).

The Landshark appears as having one fin sticking above the ground.

Shark Attack!

From underground, the Landshark bursts out, grabbing target unit and dragging him through the earth, as well as terrifying everyone with his shark-related awesomeness. Cooldown doesn't start until you use the subskill (meaning you can't go underground, either)

Activation
When used, the Landshark's fin is revealed and dashes up to the target over 1.5 seconds (regardless of how far he is from the target, the dash takes 1.5 seconds). The Landshark then bursts from the ground, grabbing target unit and dealing 150 / 225 / 300 damage. The Landshark may then drag the grabbed hero with him for 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds. All enemy units (including the grabbed one) in a 350 AoE take 100 / 150 / 200 damage and are Terrified for 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds.
Visual
The target area starts to rumble for 1.5 seconds, then the Landshark bursts out, grabbing one foe and terrifying others.

Discussion:
Landshark is a Strength nuker-ganker. His first skill allows him to output a large amount of Magic damage in a short time (with bad chasing power, with the 0.5s cast time). Ideally, the skills should feel similar to Torturer's in terms of clunkiness. His second skill is to reposition people, to line up good Linesharks (see wut i did thr) as well as to increase the power of his ultimate. His third skill is for chasing while tossing our linesharks, as well as moving faster underground. His ultimate is similar to Fayde / Nerubian Assassin's, but unlike Vendetta, the cooldown does not start until you exit invisibility, a balancing feature as his ult is more for initiation than it is for single target ganking.

A: Strength ganker and teamfighter that revolves around displacement. A good chaser, and in teamfights, clusters up enemies and does heavy Magic damage in a very small AoE.
Q: Are any of his skills influenced / rehashes of old skills?
A: First skill - inspired by Shadowraze. Second skill - Vacuum. Third skill - Windrunner + Ion Shell. Ult - Started off based on Ravage, but now is more of Rampage's Ult + Fayde's Ult.

WOW! I had an idea similar to this as an alternative to my main draft. A Ranged STR(Attacks with its "tail" from underground) worm with each end of its body as a head.
A disable that devours an AoE and disjoints the targets inside for the duration.
A passive that creates tremors after moving a certain distance, dealing damage and slow around him.
A toggle ultimate that causes him to burrow, gaining invisibility but still visible as he leaves an impassable trail as he moves. Allows him to move on terrain freely.
Though I wanted to find a way to incorporate the tremors as targetable and a way for him to carry allies such as devouring in an area to carry them inside. He'd be nearly the same as my Escorge, but interesting all the same.
The concept is nice, but I think this hero would be just way too strong. The hero has 6(essentially) activated, low cost spells that deal decent damage. It feels to me like there's just too much damage there. All you would need is substantial mana regen and then you would laugh at Pebbles and Fayde with their measly inferior combos.
The first skill by itself already provides 720 magic damage. If you line up your ultimate you have a free kill easily. If you combine with allied stuns it gets even more easy. I think it is more comparable to Chipper's rockets than Soulstealer's hands-- the hands are limited by their set range, long cast time, and the fact that you need to face a certain way. However, chippers rockets are weaker at close range, while yours are only close range, and deal aoe damage to farther back targets, if you're lucky. That needs to be fixed.

Well, I haven't included stat growths, but I plan to make mana a severely balancing factor of this hero. He's going to have low cost spells with a very low mana pool, making Chalice and Bottle good early on, but he definitely will need to address his pool in mid-late if he wants to continue his spam. Additionally, Soulstealer can nuke 3 times, wait 10 seconds, and then nuke 3 times. The landshark nukes 3 times, then after 10 seconds can only nuke once.
I rebalanced his first skill a bit, but I feel that it's already relatively hard to hit with. Right now it's a slightly longer and slower Zephyr gust with about half the width, and Zephyr's gust isn't exactly wide right now anyways. They've got a 1 second cooldown so you can't nuke with chipper like speed. And with the short range, you're probably going to be jumping sharks at people a lot, which you can see coming and dodge, unlike Soulstealer's hands.
Also, I think they changed Chipper's rockets so they do full damage all the time; I might be wrong though. Thanks for reading!
My devour type AoE would do similar to Landslide, but suck them up and keep them disjointed in the small area.
Tremors would be like Landshark and Pile Driver combined, using small damage as a ranged nuke that passively fires.
Both ults are an underground invisibility that passes terrain.
It has the same style of skills for the most part.

Hi, I just read through your idea for a hero. I must say I really like Landshark, he seems badass. I see last post was submitted Aug 2009, and I could only find Meggido at Dream, does that mean you have given this one up? Or are you still working on him?
Anyway, I'd like to see Landshark implemented, just wanted to let you know.

The question remains, with all the "all hostile non-Landsharks" how would a 5v5 duplicate mode game with 5 landsharks end? They can't use abilities!
In my opinion, change the ultimate so as long as the enemy is in a 500 unit radius around him they can see the fin (without eyes/dust) and instead of the ravage make this:

Visual: I think you can imagine. But i will write a little story for you where I am the one getting attack:
Suddenly a fin appeared. It was a shark. And not only a shark, something worse. Much worse: A Land-shark. It surged trough the ground towards me, me and my friends got stricken by fear. Everyone, including me, knew what was happening. One of my friends started yelling: "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH, LANDSHARK!!!!" and we all joined in. When it was close to me, it surfaced and caught me in it's jaw with a force so great(utube vid of shark attack) it dragged me with it when it submerged into the ground. I was stunned and my friends panicked when they realized i was gone, gone beneath the ground. It only took the Land-Shark 2 seconds to drag me away from my friends. When it submerged with me, I was seriously wounded, my friends was far away being under attack from the enemy. There were other Land-Sharks (ability 1), they came at me, they chewed at me. I was lucky to have my Assassin's shroud, it surely saved my life that day. I will never forget the Land-Shark attack and how it rendered me helpless to save my friends.

Although it would be awesome to have a ulti like that. To be a little serious it would stop him from becoming a initiator who can open with stunning the whole team. Instead he would disable one enemy while disabling himself. It would be a awesome ganking skill too![]()

@Skullfrag: Thanks; I uploaded my hero Megiddo more as a test of DREAM. I decided DREAM was a circlejerk of "i t-uped your hero, please t-up mine" so I decided to never use DREAM again until it got some serious looking at by the devs.
@Evulrabbitz: Your idea for the ultimate is pretty interesting. I was originally hesitant to make the skill Ravage, but honestly I couldn't envision a way for the Landshark to burst out of the ground without causing mass chaos. Your version of the ult is more isolation-based = more fit for a ganker, while also disabling his allies a little bit. I'll modify it a little bit and then replace Ravage with Shark Attack. Thanks for the review!
By the way, you forgot to change the "visual" part of the Shark attack.
And i am quite proud of the story actually, feel free to have it as hero description instead of the "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH, LANDSHARK!!!!".
It would surely be something new to have a messed up story as the description xD
