Me and a buddy was discussing how this one could be fun
(name) Amongst all the scientist and researchers of the legion, no one can compare to the exentric and inventive Newthon Einsthein. As the first and only to invent and properly use the steam engine, his machine of war is comparable to none.
Ok, so I imagine this sarcastic wisecracker, somewhat like dr. House in House M.D. He should answer with sly comments and I intend him to be a support character or a lane controller. He should be a INT hero, and look somewhat like this(with a Bob the builder kind of character riding it) http://flaco.fladby.com/pictures/shovel11.jpg
Skill 1:Make way! With the power of the steam engine, Einsthein makes his way through trees and enemies alike.
Lets the hero move to targeted area(dunno how far the reach should be) and push all who stands in its way to the sides. He should either get armor bonus or stun to make this a viable jump-ability.
Skill 2: Eat dirt! Einsthein uses his shovel to throw dirt at the enemy
Blinds for 2/3/4/5 sec in 200 radius (dunno, open for suggestions)
Skill 3: "HCl + H2O → H3O+ + Cl" Einsthein uses his superior intellect to create a massive outburst of steam, overdriving his engine and spewing forth a massive cloud
Gives 10%/15%/20%/25% movementspeed and leaves a cloud giving everything in the cloud a 25% miss-chance.
Skill4(ulti) With all his knowledge, Einsthein can puzzle even the smartest of enemies
Puzzeling an enemy hero for 5/7/10 seconds:
I don't have to much experience balancing characters, but I feel that there is a lack of viable support heroes that focus ONLY on supporting.
Please add you own comments, and this is just for fun, so I wont bother replying to negative replies. Constructive criticism people!
Some suggestions for his ult:
- Affects all characters... including friendlies.
- Maybe make it a random 1 of the 4 listed?
- Make it based on a comparison of his INT vs their INT in some way. (it always does something, but does slightly more (1-2 sec at most) vs those who aren't stacking INT)
He needs some way to deal damage... pure support characters still need to pose a threat. And, if nothing else, he needs to be able to farm a little. Adding damage to the first skill would accomplish this.
I think the current design structure for this hero would be interesting and could become quite tactical... Rush in with skill #1, Disable with skill #2/ult, Rush out/chase with Skill #3. It could be deadly with teamwork. The question, then, is whether or not this is enough to make him a character worth choosing.
