Pretty sure you can only submit one. It's in the rules on the first page. I would submit the Maliken one, it's nicer

GhostDragon, how thick do you have the pumpkin? I'm doing my carving with about inch thick skin, I was wondering if there is an ideal thickness... Thanks

okay to answer all of the questions i got

No i did not mean to flick off the people but thats kinda funny how it came out that way haha

the white stuff is petroleum jelly we use that to preserve the pumpkin so that it doesnt die before halloween

HAha yeah i did advertise for hon i thought itd be kinda nice i want more people to play anyways:P

and yeah i know i can only submit one i really dont care which you use, maliken was harder so he looks "better" but i carved sand wraith with more skill and he was a little easier anyways so hje was a better carve.

and we usually try to get the pumpkins to about a 1/2 inch thick so that the picture comes out great.

Thanks everyone for all the support

You might not need to have a light inside, I just wanted to see what it looks like. The more the merrier right?

One last thing, GhostDragon :P What should I sketch on the pumpkin with? I used pencil for the first part but I don't think I'll be able to so easily for this next part of it... I'm doing it freehand, based on some sketches I did earlier but not using a pin-on design.

    Don't worry, I don't think I'll beat you :P

Well for us we usually use graphite paper and trace the pattern with that so that the picture shows up on the pumpkin, but if you were to frehand it maybe you should draw the picture first on a piece of paper then get some graphitr paper, tape the paper to the pumpkin then tape the pattern(orogional picture) and trace iot over again with a pen then just figure out what you wanna shave off and what ou wanna cut through,

haah idc if its better than mine i love to help out anybody

    good luck!

Thanks See, these artsy contests bring the nice people out of hiding :P

I'll probably just "sketch" it with my knife, too much trouble for a lazy butt like me...

haha well a nice way to do that part is that the tool we use is a modelig "speedball" just a like $10 took that works like a dream and you can freehand the picture then outline it with that

Damn, GhostDragon lives like an hour away from me. I kinda wanna go see these pumpkins.
