Keep it the way it is in 0.1.41 (max distance 1650, not toggleable)
Revert it back to being toggleable in the console
Add a UI option to change the max distance with options to have it >1650

(since the official S2 response thread and someone -Riflefag- reminded me, i have resumed playing until the end of the BETA but will not be purchasing, i do hope great things for this game but unless this changes end of BETA is end game for me)

I've seen many a vote for this and will always vote greater. I pre-purchased but continually find things that put me off. One of the bigger things is the zoom.
I am a person that moves the screen by moving my mouse to the end of my screen. Having a zoom out doesn't simply fulfull my need to see enimies, but it lowers my need to have to move the screen.
I like 1650.
please dont lock it as 1650 it's horrible

There should be an option to toggle camdistance in the interface options.
I voted for UI addition. If that's to much effort then I'd settle for being able to toggle via the console. The ability to zoom out made my gameplay experience far more enjoyable.

I nearly used maphack in dota solely for the camera adjustments I heard it had. I wanted to play more zoomed out then, I still want it =|. Voted for Ui.
I say a simple 2000 will be enough

Really, this is what I'm hoping too. I was incredibly disappointed when I logged in and couldn't change this anymore. I almost feel like I can't go back to playing at 1650, it's terrible.
Patching it out is unacceptable, you need to at least leave the option in the console.
I'm playing on a 30" monitor and it's seriously unbearable to play at 1650. Once I was able to change the camera angle in HoN i couldn't ever go back to dota, that sealed it for me. This change hurt =(
Even if you like 1650, you can still have it at 1650 if the option is set to be able to zoom out farther.
UI mod PLEASE. If the game can handle it, why is this not an option? It's far more enjoyable.
This. We tried to go back to DOTA for a few games, and the lack of zoom hurt. 24" monitor here. 1650 is horrible. Honestly, the 2400 camdistance was one of the only reasons I was going to pre-order this game when I got paid friday.. now its gone
Why is the default set to such a low range? It looks horrible on bigger displays =/
It's like if Starcraft 2 had the same zoom as Starcraft 1, it's pointless. Please dear god change the max zoom out, this is not 2002 any more and we have better resolutions.
