There are right now a couple of heroes that have units under their control. I am talking about tempest, hellbringer, wildsoul and warbeast (from the top of my head). Say you are tempest and you bring out your elementals. Now you want to select them all so you drag over your hero and your elementals only to find out that most of the times your hero is not the first creature selected. This is really annoying as you have to tab through all the units to get to your skill screen again.
So what I would like to see is that whenever you select all your units by dragging the cursor over them the hero is always the first selected and not some summon.
Yep, I agree. I played with Ophelia ( chen ) and it was really harder to control all of that than its in dota. (Imo)

Yea, little things make controlling creeps in this harder then DotA.

Same units don't get under smart casting like in dota. If you hae 3 Minotaurs you must cycle trought them to get other stun. thats annoiyng.

I agree this will need a fix. Until it is fixed try the following. Group your hero in group 1 and group your hero and all creeps in group 2. Most of the times you want your hero selected so press 1 and then 2 that will bring your hero selection up.
Of course this won't solve grouping your minions.

You can Shift+Tab to cycle backwards, kids.
It'll take only one of those to get back to your hero.
That is not the point Grimace. The fact remains that the most important unit of your group is the hero and should always be selected first. Why implement something like shift tab as a rule to get to your hero? Sounds a bit stupid right? It can't be that hard to program right. The same goes with images. I get more and more annoyed by this. In a teamfight you don't want to use shift tab, you want to use your spells/skills.
@23Chxt: Lets make more remarks ingame about the unit selection. And agree on the highlight on the creep.
It's also harder to play any kind of channeling hero, due to the inferior AI concerning attack commands and channeling spells.
I also agree, it's the same thing with illusions. It would be a lot better if it instantly selected your hero as he's the only one with spells
Ok revival of this thread. After playing a whole weekend again I still get frustrated about this. I would like to see the following 2 steps if possible:
1) When selecting a group always get the hero first.
2) If you double click on your heroes portret (in the bottom of the screen) only select the hero and disband the group.
Why number 2? I got the illusion rune a couple of times. Now you select them with your hero and then you start to tab through everything but you also see the skill selection (all be it greyed out a bit with the illusion). Makes it annoying.
Next you want your images to harash but your hero to retreat. This will almost always fail since you can't select your hero quickly if you have grouped everything together (I know ctrl 1 can fix this but it is still annoying, especially since you hardly use 1 anymore, while in dota I used it almost everytime).
2 simple things that shouldn't be to hard to implement. Please S2 think about this.
