Now before you guys rage, i did get the idea of this hero from another thread because i really liked that idea, i just hoped to expand it. so read on through and tell me what you think!

Firstly, this hero would probably only be able to work in HoN and only the more experienced players would be able to play him as it would be confusing for newer players.
Name - Markus (Mark-us) the Changeling
Primary attribute - Agility
Alliance - Hellbourne
Story - No one knows where Markus comes from or how he originally looks like. All they know of is a shapeshifter in Newerth with an uncanny ability to resemble anyone he likes to. He has committed an uncountable number of crimes and no one can do a thing about it. The Changeling is one foe you would never want to cross, or if you do, you wouldn't even know it.
Shapeshift (Q) -
The Changeling can take up the image of any hero he chooses around a 2000 radius. Their strengths and weaknesses become his, However, towers and true sight can see through his disguise. The primary attribute remains as agility
Level 1 - 4 second casting time
Level 2 - 3 second casting time
Level 3 - 2 second casting time
Level 4 - 1 second casting time
Mana Cost: 50/65/80/95
Cooldown: 11/9/7/5
For this ability, the changeling can look exactly like another hero, even matching their colour. his stats change so that they are exactly like the other hero which he has resembled however, agility remains as the primary attribute. To get back to original form, changeling has to target himself.
Untracable (W) -
To hide his steps, the changeling can become untargetable by physical attacks for a short period this means towers too. However, he takes more damage from spell damage in this state.
Level 1 - Untargatable by physical attacks for 4 seconds. take 40% extra damage from spells
Level 2 - Untargatable by physical attacks for 5 seconds. take 35% extra damage from spells
Level 3 - Untargatable by physical attacks for 6 seconds. take 30% extra damage from spells
Level 4 - Untargatable by physical attacks for 7 seconds. take 25% extra damage from spells
Mana Cost: 50/70/90/110
Cooldown: 20
This ability is meant to make your disguise more real. If an enemy was going to check if you were changeling, he would see if they could attack you (which they can when you are disguised), however with this ability, it would seem if you were their team-mate.
Confusion (E) (Passive) -
If the real hero which the changeling has disguised as attacks you, he receives a percentage of damage he dealt and his attack speed is reduced.
Level 1 - 10% Damage returned, Attack speed slowed by 15%
Level 2 - 15% Damage returned, Attack speed slowed by 30%
Level 3 - 20% Damage returned, Attack speed slowed by 45%
Level 4 - 25% Damage returned, Attack speed slowed by 60%
Mana Cost: N/A
Cooldown: N/A
When pebbles is attacking pebbles, who do you know is real right? this is how confused the other player must be and meaning he is more prone to damaging himself, he also has to be careful so his attack speed is slowed
Mimic (R) -
The Changeling casts the ultimate of the hero he is disguised as. Cooldowns and mana costs apply. However when The changeling is in his original form, he is able to clone himself for a short period of time. the clone does the same amount of damage however it takes in 50% more damage.
Level 1 - Clone lasts for 15 seconds (same as other heroes ultimate if shapeshifted)
Level 2 - Clone lasts for 30 seconds (same as other heroes ultimate if shapeshifted)
Level 3 - Clone lasts for 45 seconds (same as other heroes ultimate if shapeshifted)
Mana Cost: (same as other heroes ultimate if shapeshifted) 150
Cooldown: (same as other heroes ultimate if shapeshifted) 90
For this ability, i was hoping that the ultimate image would change every time the disguise changes.the mana cost and cooldown apply as if it were the other hero, it carries on if you shapeshift again

Guess its not really possible. I mean, you will always have a dot on the minimap from the real hero, so if he Disguise himself, the enemies will still know who is the real deal.
Sure the color changes, but the original hero will still be there.
Easy to spot, especially when you can attack him.
dunno, even if colour and everything changes. only takes a few seconds to mouse-over each hero and see which one is real
Let me make my point clear:
Hellbourne has Changeling top.
Legion has Valkyrie mid.
Changeling will then disguise himself as Valkyrie and go back top.
Original Valkyrie stays mid.
Sure is easy to tell the difference. When disguised, what will he look like on the minimap? Will he have shared vision with the guy he disguise himself as; and in that case. Wouldn't the target be able to see what the Changeling sees? =Hellbourne heroes.
This is not Team Fortress. The idea is good, but the funcionality simply isn't there.
This hero just doesn't fit into the game.
Try to imagine him in competetive gameplay. People talk together and it's not worse than saying "Hey guys, where are you located atm?" And then they'll find your hero in a sec.
Besides, how is even going to kill creeps if he's disguised ? Should he kill his own creeps or jungle ? And for that he doesn't even has any spells to help. Nor for disabling or nuking (Unless he changes to a hero with a certain ulti, and that could only happen after lvl. 6).
He can only cloak and the primary damage is to 1 single hero who he disguised himself as, and only IF he attacks you.
I would find him VERY booring to play and you would get raped pretty easily, because he can't really defend himself. It's too easy to look through the disguise and he have to rely on items mostly, even though he would have to lasthit much better than anyone else.

I think we're just going about this the wrong way, this would be awesome in games were your team is heavy on support and has a carry, you being a support.
Imagine late game your support hero is solo mid fighting creeps, all others mia so hes nervous and doesnt want to advance, copy your teamate and have him run in the fog, you come out and they think he just stepped back, now he goes through the forest to wait for their gank, and pops out after they already used stuns/ults on you and slays well.. all of them potentially.
the largest problem i see with this is the item slots, when you click another hero they can see the items they're carrying, if the diguise changed what your itemslot looked like they it would be impossible to know if you had things like wards... that might be scary good. I dont think this hero is possible to create properly. but I really like the idea of having the ability to change into other people.... thinking now.
If they see another hero then they can just talk in chat.
Although the idea is nice, it needs abit more looking over as its abit underpowered and flawed
Simply based on the ways the game works it just can't happen.

would be only possible in pubs. and the desing isnt good at all.
The only way I would see this working is if his ult was to change, and his prior skill set would have to be revised. Having a hero built upon a gimick like a disguise is going to be pretty poor in competitive play. Having his ult assume all the abilities of another hero and having a decently high mana cost to change back to himself would be a good direction in my opinion.
The disguise idea is fun, but not useful...staying the same in appearance, but with different abilities is a whole lot more deadly
I like the concept, but another way of discovering who is who, is that the original will hit Changeling slower, which will make it obvious to the opposing team, which hero is Changeling.
meh probobly would not work, also beside doing aulti he cant do much else beside be another hero.
I love the concept of this hero. It is original and has potential but he cannot rely ENTIRELY on being the other hero. Shape shifting needs to be one single move which while shapeshifted nothing will attack him unless they target-attack. While shape shifted he won't auto attack enemy units but if he does attack them, he will become visible.
The way i see this as being great is in team fights where it would be VERY easy to confuse who is who, you slip as one of them and then disrupt them.
The issue is this. Once you are the enemy hero you can't really do...anything at all, sure you are sneaky and can find enemies by following them etc but unless you mimic pyro's or swiftblade's ult you aren't actually going to do much killing. The other abilities were just there to help you escape once you were found out. So they didn't do much.
I gave you a T-up because I want this to succeed but I think you need to change it a bit. You should take a look at another game (Team Fortress 2). The spy can disguise himself as an enemy and walk around. If he attacks his disguise goes away. But he can kill enemy turrets and do an instant kill from behind.
So my suggestion is to Make shapeshifting move 1. It is like 120 mana and has a 2~3 min cooldown (maybe increasing levels will decrease the CD)
Move 2 and 3 are freed up to allow him to be useful. Ideas include, silence (does not break shapeshift), stun (breaks shapeshift, but if you are in shapeshift it does... more), invisibility (short like madmans), or clone where you would copy yourself in your current state but moving in a random direction automatically, this could be used to either help get away if they discover you and break your disguise or to further confuse the team in a fight as to which is the real if there are like 4 in the same spot. (this also would not break shapeshift).
The ultimate could be something like a backstab but it needs to be activated. Essentaily, you will target an enemy and you need to path behind them and it will deal the damage, it does not matter if you are in shapeshift or not, but if you are it will break the shapeshift. The damage from it could scale like Pyro's ult damage.
Just some ideas I hope you like them. If you get a chance check out my hero suggestion in my sig.
Another idea I just had could be to affect the enemies radar so they can't who is an ally and who is an enemy which would allow you to sneak right in. This could be incorporated into another move such as the clones making them more useful.
Also he needs to be int based probably. It will give him the mana to do what he needs to do as well as other int items that would work well with his disable potential wouldn't work against his ability to deal damage.
