Something to keep in mind is that Imprisonment can be used to farm the odd neutral at level 1 of the skill just as effectively as level 4 (since it lasts the same amount).
Also, if you are hardcore stacking camps and missing out on bulk experience, levelling Tundra Blast will mean you deal more damage in a teamfight since you wont have both skills maxed out. (260x5 vs. 210x1)
Let me spell it out plain for you
Angry people complain about the things I do
I'm not changing direction, I'm stepping my game up
Maintaining my name, the same way I came up.

Truth is, I thought it mattered
    I thought that music mattered.
    But does it? Bollocks!
Not compared to how people matter.

Tundra>Imprisonment at level 1 usually because it has more than 2x the effective range and it actually provides more potential from autoattack damage than imprisonment...oh and it's AoE.

I could explain with math why this isn't right, but I don't even think you'd see it, even though I'd like to have a discussion and have your input on it.

You don't have to max aura first in 100% of situations.

I normally get tundra blast first to harass in the lane and to help set up kills/ escapes, then imprisonment. I'll always get aura at 3 and either max it first or max imprisonment first for the increased duration.

    -Tundra blast
    -Ice imprisonment
    -Chilling Presence
    -Ice imprisonment/Chilling Presence
    -Ice imprisonment/Chilling Presence
    -Glacial Downpour
    -Ice imprisonment/Chilling Presence

    -Glacial Downpour
    -Tundra blast
    -Tundra blast
    -Tundra blast
    -Stats
    -Glacial Downpour
    -Stats etc.

Tundra blast is your lowest priority generally. In some (rare) line ups you can take it over the aura for the extra damage and slow duration but most of the time it's more beneficial for your team to take aura.

    In terms of items....

    Well, here's my guide...

I'd say from luxury Portal Key -> SH in order of priority but it's up to you. I have not included situational items.

Edit: before anyone says I'm full of crap etc. I have a 79% win with glacius

I agree with element tbh. Tundra blast is a much better harassment tool to take at level 1. You can harass both heroes simultaneously, it has twice the duration, too, and don't forget it's an attackspeed slow too.

Guys you just bumped a 2 years old thread.. It used to be so that you ALWAYS lvl aura max at lvl 7.

Q-W-Q-W/E-Q-R-Q-max W-max E is the way to go now.

To Tatty, glacius first skill is why glacius is just soooooo good. So it really should be your first priority.

It's a toss up between an extra 1.5 seconds aoe slow or an extra 1.5 seconds single target immobilise. The damage difference is only 70. I generally level imprisonment as it's better for ganking IMO but it depends on preference and team line ups.

You forget the huge range, radius and the -as which makes it huge.

As I said, it's situational, if I'm going mid to gank, I'd rather disable someone for most of the duration of my ult than slow them since they could escape/autoattack me more easily. Both work well, it depends on your play style. A longer single target disable is better for someone who roams/ganks more which is how I play (as soon as our lane is won and our carry is farmed/farming then I just roam and help set up kills elsewhere) and by the time the big teamfights start happening you have both maxed anyway. If you're more of a "stay in the lane, babysit, win, then push" sort of glacius player then I can see the merits of levelling tundra blast first however.

im a fan of imprisonment first for harass, use it as he is harassing you and you'll get 2 auto attacks aswell as an x amount of creeps also attacking which can do a huge amount of damage. im also a fan of getting ult at 6, a lot of times youre the one getting dived so if you run into fog into a juke spot and use it theyre pretty screwed haha. so for skill build 2/1/3/3/3/6. and i would usually max tundra blast just for the aoe damage for early skirmishes after that. for items, other than wards of course, if youre having a good game go with ghost marchers. striders are cheap and super mobile but if you get into a bad position youre pretty much screwed. if they have a lot of nukes like pebbles/fayde. definetly pick up steamboots/vestments/astrolobe/pushbook.

there are the games that you die a few times and behind in terms of farm etc. level up your im imprisonment and hit the jungle, it lasts like 10+ seconds on creeps so its pretty easy to jungle efficiently for a support hero.

This match was against really low psrs, ranging from 1100-1600, so I know it's not too great, that's why I'm asking for the higher psrs builds and suggestions to improving my play.

    Match 13499211

    My general build for Glacius is;
    Tundra/Imprison
    Aura
    Aura
    Imprison/Tundra
    Aura
    Ulti
    Imprison

    then Ulti>Imprison>Tundra for the priority. For items, I normally start with;
Courier/Wards, 2 Health Pots, and a 2 Minor Totems. Courier/Wards is obvious, I get two health pots for regen, one for me, and one for my lane partner, and two minor totems just for extra stats.

Early game, I normally don't pick my spell until laning starts or a rune gank occurs. I always get Tundra if no rune gank occurs, unless my partner is someone who would benefit from a freeze more. I get freeze if there is a rune gank, unless I really needed the Tundra to catch up to someone. My first 200g is almost always to a winged courier, unless someone else picks it up, then I invest in wards with it, then I grab a homecoming stone from the sideshop to possibly countergank or run away, just in case. From there, I get what I need, more wards, boots, bracers, steamboots, more homecoming stones, a mystic vestments if the time calls for it. Sometimes I buy extra health pots to keep a push up or help a teammate in need (I do this once in the replay, for Wretched).

Mid game, I just wander around with my team, slowing, freezing and ganking whatever calls for it. If we have someone who occasionally jungles, I stack when I run through the forest. I keep up homecoming stones and wards, and try to help the team in fights.

Late game, I feel like I am a walking ward, with a minor long range slow and a freeze. My ulti doesn't do much damage, I normally don't have much farm for anything past steamboots and bracers, and sometimes a power supply. I try to keep up wards if we need them, I scout around for signs of enemies and just try to keep my teammates up. I normally die pretty quickly, or even first in team fights.

I'd like some kind of advice for being a Glacius player, or just being a support player in the higher brackets, and maybe even some discussion for these ideas and builds.
I don't remember the skill names but here goes

Like most of my supports I do a 2/2/1/1 build by level 6 however for Glacius I usually specialize it a bit as the following

    Level 1 - Grip
    Level 2 - Aura
Level 3 - aoe (first skill)
    Level 4 - aoe
    Level 5 - Grip
    Level 6 - Ulti

I do this because it gives mana regen, a decent aoe slow skill and a grab / semi stun to assist allies. When the level 6 battle comes around Glacius's ulti, though he is squishy, is a lot of help.

For items I try to get striders, battery, 2 bracers and then both type of wards (after having flown the courier). This however works for me as I usually play a hard support. Sometimes I will play an entire game with theses items because I am maintaining ward control, again may not work for you.

The other reason I follow this is because 1) if the team fights are going well I do rush blink, more for mobility but I don't get a bkb (dangerous but I'm use to it). If my team is suffering however I negate the pk.

You sound like you have an understanding of support dynamics so I would suggest the regular support items (Nulls, green staff, healing shield even mana ring) but on glacius if farm is decent (wards aside) don't over look held of legion if things are going rough.

I find the main focus for heroes like glacius is ward control. You have that then you are doing fine. Just get items to increase your hp.

    -Cheers
