All stuff mentioned in a guide written by someone from the community, except the linked guide is too broad and doesn't explain which steps to follow.

Ok I should have :RunedAxe: and :Steamboots: 20min into the game.....pretty difficult for alot of people but ok. And here's where it gets kinda moot: The guide's author actually SAYS to get a :Brutalizer:. Unless you're playing in a pub there are so many better items to invest into. Like :SavageMace::Shieldbreaker::FrostwolfsSkull:.

Also the author says to get :HackNSlash:. What would be the point? With boots and stealth you're already faster than half of the other heroes in the game. Seriously someone elaborate as to WHY I would consider investing into Frostburn as Scout.

Oh yea, no mention of building towards actual survival. Where is the :ShrunkenHead::SymbolOfRage::WhisperingHelm:? I can understand if you're going to be a straight-up DPS hero, but even then you'll fall faster than a bag of rocks.

Trying to view the guide constructively; but coming from someone who actively reads guides and studies other players' builds, that guide is utter crap. Its like they did so well with Scout they HAD to write about it. Really, I think >>I<< can write a better guide than this guy, and all the while at least TALK about Scout's strengths and weaknesses. I'm sorry but its a bad bad read. Theres my two cents.

Its probably an EM guide. You would get decimated by any half decent player if you tried this in any 1300+ NM game.

Frostburn gives the bearer +16str. Thats Steamboots and one bracer. Care to explain as to why one would even invest into it to begin with? Really, give out some solid points. It gives a little of everything, thats not what Scout needs. In the time I could have farmed Frostburn I would have finished FWS, which is more considerably useful for Scout.

And yes, he did mention SM. But why not just go straight for SM? Why have brutalizer take up a slot when you can have other useful items? Plus considering Scout has a pseudo-stun why do you need Brutalizer? You're not making concise points. Explain. Elaborate. Clarify.

:RunedAxe::Steamboots: with a babysitter should be a 20 minute deal at the max (290gpm), without one should be a 25-26 minute deal (220gpm). I don't play a lot, but whenever I do, I get my :RunedAxe::Marchers: by the 17-18 min mark. I once managed to get both :RunedAxe::Steamboots: around 26 minutes even though my lane partner was a and we were going up against a who was completely raping us. (Of course it didn't matter because my team fed the other team's .)

So yeah, it can be done if you know how to farm.

But honestly, you don't really need a guide for . After :RunedAxe::Steamboots: go :WhisperingHelm::SavageMace: into :SymbolOfRage: if the game is going on, or :ShrunkenHead: before the DPS if the other team has too many disables to handle. No ganking before you have your :WhisperingHelm: or :ShrunkenHead: as the situation calls for it; carry a :HomecomingStone: to defend if need be. There's no other way to play . (Well, there is, but it doesn't work in pubs.)

I normally have Runed Axe and Steamboots by 20-22mins in normal games.

Once you get runed axe, you farm steamboots in the jungle in <3minutes.

If I'm playing a hard carry that needs a runed axe I'll have it and my full boots by 17 minutes or so if the lane is doing decently. It's really not hard and this is NM I'm talking about.

why do lvl 6-9 scouts with steamboots and no dmg items think they can kill anything? they vulentarily stop farming to run around the map, losing the gold/exp they need to be useful.

Check some of my replays, having both of those in 1500+ (playing with lower level friends) was not very hard at all. Granted I stomped the other team pretty hard but the Autobalance was even /shrug.

Had runed axe steamboots and whispering before the swiftblade had runed axe and phase in 13304826

Had 3 levels on swift so his next item was blade mail since i could easily destroy him.
